A run of seven points from the first seven games might have seemed a reasonable return to outsiders but those connected with the club (fans and owners) disagreed and Xisco Munez was sacked and Claudio Ranieri brought in. Ranieri is famous for his remarkable achievement of leading Leicester to the title but also since then he had a short and unmemorable time as Fulham manager. He inherits a side who have taken just four points from their last six matches and are about to embark on a nightmare run of fixtures.
Liverpool continue to remain unbeaten in the Premier League with their last game before the international break saw them draw 2-2 with Man City. They sit second on the table on 14 points just one behind Chelsea. Away from Anfield, the Reds have won two and drawn one and netted three goals on each occasion.
Watford vs Liverpool: Match Stats
Despite this being the first game under a new manager for the Hornets such is the confidence that the Merseyside outfit are playing with it is hard to oppose them. They have scored three in each of their last three on the road so backing them to win and the game to have over 2.5 goals is the play
Curtis Jones has been a revelation for the Anfield side this season and seems to have established himself in that midfield three. He is also given licence to support the attack and he is excellent at finding the spaces. He grabbed in the penultimate game for Liverpool and looks a decent price to score at any time here.

It is just one defeat in their last five head-to-heads for Liverpool but that did come on their last visit to Vicarage Road where they went down 3-0. Ismaila Sarr grabbed a brace on that day and he has four this season. Five of their last six meetings have gone over 2.5 goals producing 24 goals in total.
