Our Experience signing up and placing a bet with Bet365
Bet365 is one of the largest and most popular sports betting brands in the UK for a reason – their service is one of the best available and we’ve got nothing but praise for this bookmaker who not only offer competitive odds (read the below section on betting markets for more information here), but an unmatched user experience and live streaming product.
The user experience at Bet365 on both mobile and desktop is what sets it apart, and we were impressed with how swiftly we were able navigate the platform to place sports bets. There aren’t many bookmakers that are quite so easy to use and it’s no surprise that the app carries across that same commitment to an excellent UX.
As sign-up processes go, Bet365’s is easy to navigate and although they are more stringent than most with their identification checks, once we were in we had plenty to explore, not least a live streaming section that is simply unmatched on the market right now with a raft of top European and worldwide football leagues on offer alongside horse racing, tennis and several other events.
Bet365 has always been known to be among the most innovative of bookmakers and they were among the first to introduce cash-out functionalities and bet-builders and that innovation continues now. We were also impressed with the increasing number of price boosts on offer and the longer we played with the site the more we were treated to the occasional ‘bet and get’ offer for existing customers.
Put simply, Bet365 are not as popular as they are without good reason. From our own experience of signing up and placing bets with this bookmaker, we found it easy to make Bet365 are regular port of call. There’s very little missing from this comprehensive, innovative, easy to use and competitively priced sportsbook and we’ll certainly continue using them for the foreseeable future.
What Betting Markets do Bet365 Offer?
The markets offered at Bet365 are vast, allowing bettors to place sports wagers on a number of different sports and events. All markets can be accessed on the betting homepage of the site/app and offer a huge range of sports. Examples include football, horse racing, tennis, boxing, basketball, baseball and countless others.
In addition to traditional sports, bettors are also able to place wagers on virtual sports, politics, and lotto with the bookmaker.
And very few bookmakers offer such a deep array of odds on specific events either. For every Premier League match for example, you’ll be able to bet on all the usual markets such as Win-Draw-Win and Both Teams To Score but there’s also a huge array of specials and player-specific markets that aren’t always available with Bet365’s competitors, include shot, assist, tackle and pass markets.
How competitive are Bet365 odds?
The odds offered up at Bet365 are incredibly competitive with the brand constantly offering bet boosts and bonuses for both large and small events.
For larger events, bettors will often find promotion banners on the betting homepage of the site that informs of available price boosts. These give enhanced prices, known as bet boosts, that allow bettors to claim inflated odds on different outcomes. Outside of the bet boosts, Bet365 offers competitive standard odds that bettors will struggle to complain about.
To confirm this, we calculated the overround on a handful of football matches taking place on the day of writing this review. The overround is the sum total of odds on all of the possible outcomes on one event, which the bookmakers use to ensure that the prices remain in their favour. Anything under 110% is generally considered to be a fair overround in sports betting and this is what we found from the matches taking place on this day:
- Exeter (9/2) – Draw (16/5) – Middlesbrough (4/7) – Margin: 105.63%
- Mansfield (19/20) – Draw (13/5) – Port Vale (11/4) – Margin: 105.73%
- Wigan (11/8) – Draw (5/2) – Charlton (19/10) – Margin: 105.16%
- Chelsea (1/4) – Draw (5/1) – Blackburn (11/1) – Margin: 105.00%
We also ran an odds comparison on some of these games to see how the odds compared to those offered by bet365’s competitors. Of course this is a very small sample size and we decided to use different markets for these games too in order to get a better reflection, but in all honesty only through regular play with bet365 have we been able to see just how competitive their odds are in the market place.
Selection | Bet365 Odds | Sky Bet Odds | Paddy Power Odds | Betfair Odds | William Hill Odds | Ladbrokes Odds | BetVictor Odds |
Middlesbrough to beat Exeter | 4/7 | 1/2 | 8/15 | 1/2 | 1/2 | 8/15 | 8/15 |
Over 2.5 goals in Mansfield vs Port Vale | 4/5 | 8/11 | 17/20 | 20/23 | 4/5 | 4/5 | 31/40 |
BTTS in Wigan vs Charlton | 8/13 | 8/15 | 1/2 | 8/15 | 4/7 | 4/7 | 31/40 |
Raheem Sterling to score first in Chelsea vs Blackburn | 4/1 | 4/1 | 4/1 | 7/2 | 4/1 | 4/1 | 4/1 |
Although these are four randomly selected markets from upcoming fixtures, as you can see from the table above Bet365 are offering the best available odds on three of those markets. In the case of the Raheem Sterling goalscorer bet, they’re priced equal to the majority of the market, but they have a shorter price than all of the listed competitors when it comes to the Middlesbrough to beat Exeter bet and on the BTTS bet in the League One fixture between Wigan Athletic and Charlton Athletic.
*Prices correct as of 10:30am on 31/10/2023

Bet365 Key Sportsbook Features
There are a range of key sportsbook features offered by Bet365 which you will find when using the site. Bet365 have developed a reputation for being among the most innovative bookmakers on the market so any features like those listed below that are due to come into the market are likely to be included on their sportsbook before the majority of their competitors or in some case before the entire market.
Live Streaming
Bet365 really do lead the way when it comes to live streaming events on their sportsbook. Not only will you be able to access football matches from some of the top European leagues such as La Liga, Ligue 1, Bundesliga and Serie A, but there’s also a whole range of other sports available to watch and bet on live with Bet365.
Just make sure your account is funded (or that you’ve placed a bet within the last 24 hours) and head to the In Play page for your chosen event or there’s a dedicated Live Streaming section of the site where you can see all of the currently streaming events and upcoming matches and tournaments that will be available to watch and bet on with Bet365.
Bet-Builders
Bet365 were one of the first bookmakers to offer bet-builders to their customers, which allow punters to combine several different selections from the same fixture to create one bet, similar to an accumulator but all based around different markets from the same game.
Unsurprisingly given that they were among the first to offer this, Bet365’s bet-builder functionality is excellent and with them also offering a deeper range of markets than many of their competitors, you’re likely to be able to place bet-builders with Bet365 that aren’t even available to bet on elsewhere.
In Play and Cash Out
Bet365 were also among the first bookmakers to offer cash-out on bets and although it’s pretty much ubiquitous among sports betting companies now, Bet365 are known to offer fairly competitive cash-out prices upon their markets for when your bet is winning but you want to avoid the nerves of seeing out the remainder!
Their In Play section is comprehensive and you can place In Play bets on all the biggest events within a few clicks – and on some of the less popular sports and tournaments as well.

As always, bet restrictions and T&Cs apply, but this feature is really handy – particularly for a multiple bet as it means you can mark a team as a winner even ahead of full-time.
0-0 Bore Draw offer
On selected matches, bet365 will pay out on losing Result/Both Teams To Score, Total Goals/Both Teams To Score, Both Teams to Score 1st Half – 2nd Half, Correct Score or Half-Time/Full-Time bets if the game finishes goalless.
This particular offer has proven to be handy for punters during the 2022 World Cup, with so many of the early group stage games in the tournament ending goalless.
Soccer accumulator bonus
Bettors placing an accumulator on a minimum of 3 selections can receive an additional bonus of between 5 – 70% issued once all matches have been completed.
The bonus will be applied to the Full-Time Result, Both Teams To Score or Result/Both Teams To Score markets with the bonus dependent on the number of selections made.
Soccer Substitute Guarantee
Seen a bet ruined by a player going off in the first half (most likely due to injury)? To help deal with this, Bet365 return stakes as Bet Credits on single bets on certain player markets, such as first goalscorer, last goalscorer, anytime goalscorer, bookings, sendings off, shots and assists and more, if the player is substituted before half-time.
When a selection is part of a multiple bet, it will be rendered void, and any returns from the bet which includes the selection will be paid as Bet Credits.
NBA early payout offer
Bettors looking to place wagers on NBA games can benefit from the early payout offer available at Bet365.
If your team of choice manages to go ahead with a 20 point lead, single bets will be paid out early by the bookmaker. Alternatively, for multiple bets, the selection will automatically be marked as a winner, ready for the rest of the selections to complete.
