What exactly is Squawka?
Squawka is all about giving you “Stats worth Sharing”. We want you to be able to have informed discussions with other fans during matches; backing up your arguments with real-time in-depth statistics, in one simple interface. You can share your stats to Twitter and Facebook to give friends your view on the game.
What browser do I need to use?
Squawka doesn’t get along very well with old browsers, unfortunately! To get the best experience of Squawka, you should upgrade to any of the following browsers (they are all free and take moments to download).
Google Chrome updates automatically, and should work with Squawka by default.
Squawka requires Mozilla Firefox 4 or later.
Squawka works with Internet Explorer 9 but Chrome and Firefox are strongly recommended.
Mac users can enjoy Squawka on Safari with version 3.2 or upwards.
Do I have to pay a subscription to use Squawka?
Squawka is completely free to use, as often as you like.
Can I watch live matches on Squawka?
Squawka does not stream live matches. It is a second screen platform designed to deliver in-game statistics and to allow fans to chat to one another while the game is being played.
Where does the data come from?
We take our data from Opta, the providers of the most comprehensive football database on the planet. We then process this data to provide our users with action views of what is actually happening on the pitch.
How regularly is the data updated during a game?
Opta send us data in every break in play – goals, fouls, throw-ins, goal kicks etc. This is approximately an average of every 40 seconds. We then crunch the data and send it out to you across all our tools in real-time.
Do you provide data for only live matches on TV?
In the Leagues and Competitions we cover we will provide full data analysis of all matches, regardless of whether they are televised or not.
Which Leagues do you cover?
We cover every single game from the English Premier League, German Bundeslige, Italian Serie A, Spanish La Liga and French Ligue 1. Plans to integrate Squawka with other leagues and are cooking away, so stay tuned.
Are there any improvements planned?
