How both teams go into Brighton vs Bournemouth
Brighton have been a tough team to predict this season, as you never really know what you’re going to get. Fabian Hurzeler’s men sit ninth in the Premier League after 26 games, with 10 wins and 10 draws alongside six defeats. Eight of their recent goals conceded came in Brighton’s two recent defeats, beaten 0-1 at home by Everton and 7-0 away by Nottingham Forest. But they bounced back from that with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Chelsea at the Amex before beating Southampton 4-0.
Bournemouth’s rise up the Premier League table has gone somewhat unnoticed this season, partly because of Nottingham Forest’s campaign. But Andoni Iraola has his Cherries challenging for a top four finish. Only the top four have won more games than Bournemouth’s 12. One of their defeats came against Liverpool at the end of a long unbeaten run. But Bournemouth bounced back with victory over Southampton before losing 1-0 to Wolves. Remember, fifth could be enough for a Champions League spot this year if English sides do well in Europe.
Brighton team news
James Milner and Ferdi Kadioglu aren’t expected back for Brighton until after the international break. Jason Steele is closer to returning but this game will still be too soon. Igor Julio is out for the season. Danny Welbeck and Joel Veltman are both doubts.
Bournemouth team news
Bournemouth will still be without the likes of Adam Smith, Julian Araujo and James Hill for this game — but they could be back soon. Marcos Senesi needs a bit more time, while Evanilson won’t return until after the international break. Enes Unal will be out until late 2025.

Brighton have won four of their past five games against Bournemouth, including a 1-2 win earlier this season. The Seagulls are unbeaten in their past three home games against the Cherries.
