Qatar are contesting their second World Cup this summer but will need to beat Bosnia-Herzegovina in their final group stage game in order to remain in the competition.
The Maroons earned their first-ever World Cup point in their opening match against Switzerland, with a last-minute header from captain Boualem Khoukhi salvaging the draw.
But confidence will have been significantly dented by the 6-0 defeat suffered against co-hosts Canada in Vancouver.
