Our AI predictor combines data from qualifying matches, previous World Cups, bookmakers and more to determine the most likely correct score outcome from the game.
As the tournament progresses, the model will focus more heavily on the games that have already taken place within the tournament and it will look beyond results to input shot, possession and general match momentum data to see where value may lie.
Norway vs France
This is a proper clash because both have started hot: France have six goals from two games, while Norway also have six and have put up 25 shots, 12 on target, and six big chances. I just prefer France’s control and ceiling here, with 30 shots, 13 on target, eight big chances, and only one goal conceded so far. Norway have enough punch to score, but France look slightly cleaner at both ends.

Senegal vs Iraq
Iraq’s attacking numbers are the big red flag: one goal, 15 shots, and only one shot on target across two World Cup matches. Senegal have lost to France and Norway, but the performances are not dead – 22 shots, six on target, four big chances, and 18 chances created is enough to make them strong favourites in this particular matchup. I’m taking Senegal to finally get the result their numbers have hinted at.

Cape Verde vs Saudi Arabia
Cape Verde have been awkward to beat, drawing 0-0 with Spain and 2-2 with Uruguay, which is a much better tournament profile than the market might instinctively give them. Saudi Arabia have only one goal, ten shots, and four on target across their two games, and they needed a lot of goalkeeping work against Spain. This feels tight, but Cape Verde look the more durable side.

Uruguay vs Spain

Uruguay have scored in both games and can absolutely land one, but Spain’s control and pressure metrics are stronger overall. I like Spain to edge it without keeping a clean sheet.

Belgium still have not converted their underlying threat into enough goals, which is slightly mad given 38 shots, ten on target, 29 chances created, and 73 box touches. New Zealand are dangerous enough to punish that, with three goals, 13 shots on target, and five big chances across their two games. I’m not brave enough to take a Belgium clean sheet, but the chance volume says their breakthrough should come.

Egypt look the sharper attacking side in this group, with four goals, 33 shots, ten on target, and 26 chances created, including the 3-1 win over New Zealand. Iran have been competitive, drawing 2-2 with New Zealand and 0-0 with Belgium, but they have also needed 13 goalkeeper saves across the two matches. Iran can nick one, but Egypt have the better balance of chance creation and finishing.
