Group F at World Cup 2026 saw Netherlands finish top, picking up seven points from an available nine.
The draw placed Netherlands into Group F alongside Japan and Tunisia. Sweden joined the group after their qualifying play-off victory in March.
A 2-2 draw in the opening game between Netherlands and Japan seemed to set the group up nicely, particularly as both teams earned emphatic wins in their second games – Oranje against Sweden and the Samurai Blue versus Tunisia.
However, a 3-1 win for the Netherlands over Tunisia in their final game was enough to earn them top spot as Blagult played out a 1-1 draw with Japan in Dallas.

World Cup 2026 Group F Results
Netherlands and Japan played out a 2-2 draw on matchday one, offering Sweden an early advantage after their 5-1 thrashing of Tunisia — a result that cost Sabri Lamouchi his job.
However, Graham Potter’s men quickly blew that advantage by slumping against the Netherlands by the same scoreline. That left them needing a result against Japan after the Samurai Blue got a four-goal win of their own against Tunisia.
In the end, Blagult and the Samurai Blue drew 1-1, while the Netherlands took full advantage to top the group with a 3-1 victory over Tunisia.
