Premier League clubs have spent a lot of money this summer.
Four players were signed for fees of over £100million, with a further 21 costing clubs at least £50m. Of those four £100m deals, three saw players move between Premier League clubs. Some clubs were looking to cash in on key assets to balance the books.
Which got us thinking. What are the biggest transfer fees received by each current Premier League club?
Arsenal – Gabriel Martinelli
- Fee: £60m
- Sold to: Al-Hilal
Arsenal‘s record sale was a low as £35m for nine years. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain held the record for his move to Liverpool in 2017, with Folarin Balogun later joining Monaco for the same fee. The Gunners were trailling behind their rivals, but they have got their numbers up.
Gabriel Martinelli has said goodbye to Arsenal after seven years, amassing 278 appearances across all competitions, scoring 62 goals. He also lifted the FA Cup and the Premier League, bowing out of the Emirates Stadium on a high.
Aston Villa – Morgan Rogers

- Sold to: Chelsea
Aston Villa had a few big-name — and big-money — departures in the 2026 summer window. The biggest of the lot was Morgan Rogers, who moved to Chelsea for £117m. It was Aston Villa’s second sale of £100m+, after Jack Grealish’s departure in 2021. While Grealish has had a lot of success on paper at Manchester City, things haven’t fully worked out and he’s now on his second loan at Everton.
Bournemouth – Dominic Solanke

- Sold to: Tottenham
Bournemouth have pulled in some huge fees in recent years, but Dominic Solanke tops the lot, joining Tottenham Hotspur for £65m in the summer of 2024 after a 21-goal campaign with the Cherries. Solanke has been stuck in relegation trouble with Tottenham since then and has struggled for consistency, though he has picked up a Europa League title.
Brentford – Bryan Mbeumo

Like Bournemouth, Brentford have made some big sales in recent times. Manchester United‘s £65m acquisition of Bryan Mbeumo is the biggest, arriving at Old Trafford after posting 70 goals and 51 assists in 242 appearances for the Bees. The Cameroon international scored 12 goals and provied three assists in his first season for Man Utd, helping them return to the Champions League.
Brighton – Moises Caicedo

- Sold to: Chelsea
Three of Brighton and Hove Albion‘s top four record sales have been to Chelsea, with Moises Caicedo’s £100m move in 2023 still topping the lot. The energetic Ecuadorian midfielder is one of the few players who can really hold his head high at Stamford Bridge over the last few turbulent years, and is a genuine top-class operator.
Chelsea – Enzo Fernandez

- Sold to: Man City
Chelsea spend bit, but they also sell big. Enzo Fernandez replaced Eden Hazard as their biggest outgoing, by some distance too. The Argentine made the switch from blue to sky blue in the summer, for a joint-British record fee of £125m. It meant that Chelsea were able to make a profit on the midfielder they signed for £100m in 2023, while also reaping the on-field rewards during his time at the club.
Coventry City – Viktor Gyokeres

- Sold to: Sporting CP
Given where he is now, it’s easy to forget that Viktor Gyokeres was once a Coventry City player. He thrived in the Championship to earn a £20.5m move to Sporting CP in 2023. Gyokeres continued to grow in Portugal, scoring 97 goals in 103 games across all competitions. That earned him his move to Arsenal, where he hasn’t had as much success despite winning the Premier League.
Crystal Palace – Eberechi Eze
- Fee: £68m
- Sold to: Arsenal
Eberechi Eze enjoyed a dream end to his time at Crystal Palace, scoring the winner in the FA Cup final and lifting the Community Shield, before joining Arsenal last summer. The England international has been well worth his £68m fee so far, helping the Gunners finally end their Premier League drought.
Everton – Romelu Lukaku

- Sold to: Man Utd
Romelu Lukaku was a force of nature for Everton, to the point where Man Utd paid £90m for him in 2017 after he’d just finished second to Harry Kane in the Premier League Golden Boot race. The Belgium record scorer has never consistently recreated his Goodison Park form since, but has still been a regular source of goals, including during Inter Milan’s 2020/21 Serie A title-winning season.
Fulham – Aleksandar Mitrovic
- Fee: £50m
- Sold to: Al Hilal
The Saudis struck in west London back in 2023, dropping £50m for Aleksandar Mitrovic, who boasted a phenomenal record of 109 goals in 190 league games for Fulham. The Serbian went on to win three domestic trophies and score 68 goals in 79 games for Al Hilal, and now plays for Qatari side Al Rayyan.
Hull City – Jarrod Bowen

- Sold to: West Ham United
Hull City have had some good players on their ranks, but they haven’t really been able to sell them on for big money. Jarrod Bowen remains the Tigers’ record sale, joining West Ham United for £22m in 2020. During his time at the London Stadium, Bowen has risen to be a fan favourite and club captain, while also earning an England callup. Not to mention his Conference League success.
Ipswich Town – Omari Hutchinson
- Fee: £37.5m
- Sold to: Nottingham Forest
Omari Hutchinson both sits on the list of Ipswich Town‘s record signings and their top sales. While he ranks third for signings, Hutchinson’s £37.5m departure to Nottingham Forest last summer is Ipswich’s biggest outgoing. It came with Hutchinson spending just one year at Ipswich in the Championship, which is good profit indeed. He didn’t exactly light up the City Ground in his maiden campaign, but is now on loan at AC Milan.
Leeds – Raphinha
- Fee: £55m
- Sold to: Barcelona
Raphinha had been impressive for Leeds United over two Premier League seasons, but many felt he wasn’t worth the £55m Barcelona paid for him in 2022. Eighty goals, 53 assists, three La Liga titles and a Copa del Rey later, he’s proved the doubters wrong.
Liverpool – Philippe Coutinho

- Sold to: Barcelona
For all their success, Liverpool are club that has never been afraid of selling when the price is right. Given the trophies they’ve won since and his struggles at Barcelona after leaving Anfield, their £145m cashing in of Philippe Coutinho was utterly justified. Even if he was ruthlessly effective during his time in a red shirt.
Man City – Savio
- Fee: £85m
- Sold to: Tottenham
Including add-ons, Savio’s £85m move to Tottenham Hotspur is Man City’s biggest sale. It usurps the £81.5m (including add-ons) sale of Julian Alvarez in 2024. It was a masterstroke move for Man City, to fetch over £50m profit on a player that had been more of a rotational option. Savio did win the FA Cup and Carabao Cup at Man City, with seven goals and 13 assists in 84 games across all competitions.
Man Utd – Cristiano Ronaldo
- Fee: £80m
- Sold to: Real Madrid
Given his unquestioned standing in the game, it’s quite fitting that Cristiano Ronaldo remains Man Utd’s record sale. His achievements need no summarising here. He’s simply one of the greatest we’ve ever seen.
Newcastle – Alexander Isak
- Fee: £125m
- Sold to: Liverpool
Andy Carroll’s £35m sale to Liverpool in 2011 remained Newcastle United‘s record departure for just over 14 years, until the Reds returned for another striker last summer. Things haven’t worked out at Anfield for Alexander Isak so far, but injuries haven’t helped. His record at Newcastle, however, tells you all you need to know about his quality.
Nottingham Forest – Elliot Anderson

- Sold to: Man City
Nottingham Forest broke their club records for signing and sale in the 2026 summer window. Liam Delap arrived for £45m, barely touching the sides on the £116m Forest received from Man City for Elliot Anderson. The English midfielder hadn’t spent long at the City Ground, initially joining from Newcastle in 2024. But across those two seasons Anderson grew as a player and is already one of England’s best midfielders.
Sunderland – Jobe Bellingham

- Sold to: Borussia Dortmund
Sunderland spent big last summer, but they also made a couple of big sales to balance the books. Jobe Bellingham was top of the pile, going to Borussia Dortmund for £32m — £2m more than previous record sale, Jordan Pickford. Bellingham has struggled in Germany so far, but he has been in the starting lineup for the 2026/27 season.
Tottenham – Harry Kane

- Sold to: Bayern Munich
For so long, Gareth Bale was comfortably Tottenham’s record sale, until Bayern Munich dropped £100m on Harry Kane in 2023. Spurs have been on the slide since — though they have won a trophy — while Kane has been worth every penny to the Bavarians, notching an astonishing 148 goals and 33 assists in 150 appearances, winning two Bundesliga titles along the way.
