Premier League Sack Race odds have Michael Carrick as the 6/5 favourite with William Hill to be the next manager to leave his post.
The Manchester United boss was odds-on favourite at the end of October but has moved further out, with Pierre Sage dropping. Sage hasn’t had a good start to life at Crystal Palace and another winless game against Hoffenheim has him at 7/4 to be the first to go.
Sunderland manager Regis Le Bris is the only other manager shorter than 5/1.
There were a record 11 in-season Premier League managerial changes in 2025/26. So here are the latest Premier League Sack Race odds from William Hill, followed by a closer look at the managers under the most pressure.

Michael Carrick (Manchester United) – 6/5
Carrick is still favourite to be the first Premier League manager to go. But he is no longer odds-on and may have given himself a brief reprieve after Man Utd’s 3-2 win over Roma in the Champions League. The Red Devils trailed 2-0 at Old Trafford but fought back late on, ending a nine-game winless run.
Man Utd face Aston Villa this weekend before the international break, and a negative result here could put the pressure back on Carrick.

Pierre Sage (Crystal Palace) – 7/4
Things seem to be getting worse for Sage at Crystal Palace. The Eagles have won just one of their past seven games across all competitions, a 1-0 victory over Fulham in the Carabao Cup. During that time, Palace have been beaten 5-0 to Brighton and Hove Albion and also failed to score in defeats to Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur.
The latest result was a 1-1 draw with Hoffenheim in the Europa League, extending their winless run in that competition to three games. And the Eagles needed a late equaliser from Daichi Kamada to earn a point. Fans did clap Sage and the players off after the result, but patience is running thin in some areas.

Regis Le Bris (Sunderland) – 11/4
Sunderland sit bottom of the Premier League with just eight points from nine games and Regis Le Bris is looking less comfortable. Fans are starting to become fed up with Le Bris and his lack of adaptibility, knowing something just isn’t working. Sunderland face Chelsea before the international break.
Matthias Jaissle (Newcastle) – 8/1
Newcastle United’s appointment of Matthias Jaissle was a bit of a risk. The German has success on his CV with Red Bull Salzburg and Al-Ahli, but there were doubts about whether he could do it in the Premier League.
It’s been a mixed start for Jaissle at St James’ Park, with Newcastle 13th in the Premier League and out of the Carabao Cup. The Magpies have lost five of their past seven games across all competitions, including four in the Peemier League.
Oliver Glasner (Nottingham Forest) – 14/1
Nottingham Forest fans are still waiting for lift off under Oliver Glasner. The Tricky Trees have won just one of their 10 games across all competitions since the Austrian took charge, a 2-1 win over Aston Villa in the Premier League. They’ve lost four of their past five league games and sit in the relegation zone, with a tough run of fixtures coming up. The question is, will Glasner still be in charge by December?
