You’ll be able to follow all of our Europa League betting tips during the 2020/21 campaign, as some of Europe’s most decorated clubs battle it out for the famous trophy and a route into the Champions League.
The 2020/21 Europa League campaign is already underway in the qualification stages and with a raft of high-profile teams set to compete for the trophy this year, it’s likely to be as exciting as ever in the race to reach Gdańsk for the final. English sides Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Leicester City will hope to progress as far as possible, whilst there is the possibility for more involvement from Scotland this season too as Celtic, Rangers, Motherwell and Aberdeen are all looking to navigate the difficult qualification process to reach the group stages. But for any of these sides to lift the trophy, they will face stiff competition with the likes of AC Milan, Napoli and Bayer Leverkusen involved – and that’s before the teams that finish in 3rd place in the Champions League group stages enter in the knock-out stages. Fortunately with Squawka, you can follow the action right through from these qualifying stages to the final, which will take place in the Polish city of Gdańsk, where it was due to take place at the end of the 2019/2020 campaign prior to the changed plans due to disrupted football calendar.

Today’s Europa League Betting Tips
Looking for the best predictions and bets on the Europa League games taking place today? This is the page to come to, as we aim to populate this page with all of our best bets and predictions way in advance of kick-off.
There will be plenty more here too, including the latest odds on the upcoming fixtures plus our in-depth previews, looking ahead to the act and selecting our Europa League betting tips based on the data and analysis.
Europa League Inplay Betting Tips
Nothing has changed the way that punters bet in recent years quite like live, in-play betting. Making mid-game selections and being able to back them with ease online gives the punters so many options and possibilities and allows them to make a call on the action unfolding before their eyes. What’s more, with the added ability to cash-out on your bet, you can make the decision to take a percentage of the winnings before the full-time whistle, so if your wager is coming in, you can take the profit on offer without those nervy few minutes waiting for the final whistle to blow.
Full Time Results
A Full Time result bet is the most popular style of bet on any given match in any tournament. The premise is quite simple here, you’re just backing what you expect the outcome to be – a victory for either side or a draw. Many punters often combine several of our Europa League betting tips in this market in order to create a longer-odds accumulator, a particularly intriguing idea in this competition with so many games tending to be played at the same time.
Both Teams to Score
As above, both teams to score is a market that you will find to be particularly popular in the earlier stages of the competition when there’s a raft of games being played at the same time on a Thursday evening.. You are betting on both teams to find the net over the course of the 90 minutes and it’s a bet that lends itself to long accumulators with the same selection backed on a range of different matches.
To Score a Header
As simple as it sounds – this is about placing a bet on a particular player not to just score a goal – but to score a header over the course of the 90 minutes. One man who was worth checking on this bet last season was Sevilla’s Luuk de Jong, who scored not one but two headers in the final as Nervioenses secured the trophy with a 3-2 win over Internazionale of Italy.
Player Total Shots
The Squakwa Bet experts love this market! You can now bet on how many shots or even shots on target a player will take over the course of the 90 minute match, a market that is likely to be utilised later in the campaign when you’re settling down to watch a specific tie. Bruno Fernandes, of Sporting Lisbon and then Manchester United, took 48 shots in the competition last season, 17 more than any other player.
Player Total Tackles
As above, this is a self-explanatory market. All you’re betting on here is a certain player to make a certain amount of tackles during a game – with some bookmakers offering a large amount of different numbers of tackles to be made. This is one for the defenders and defensive midfielders – Zeca, of Copenhagen, led the way in this market last season with an impressive total of 45 tackles – that’s 4.5 per match!
How about those players that are set to mistime their tackles? You can back teams to receive over a certain number of bookings in a game, or the match to have a certain amount of bookings – or even a specific player to be shown a card during the game such is the depth of markets available on Europa League games. FC Porto were the dirtiest team in the tournament last season, racking up 25 yellow cards and one red in their eight fixtures in the competition.
You can even punt on your Europa League betting favourites in a market such as on offsides in a game by betting on which players will struggle to keep on the right side of the defensive line – who are even more likely to be called up for their badly-timed runs now with the use of VAR. Umar Sadiq, of Partizan Belgrade, averaged 1.7 offsides per game in his six appearances in the competition last season.
Corners taken is another market you can place bets on in the Europa League fixtures this season. There are a range of different bets here – including the total corners in a game, corners per team and even which team will win the most in the match. Sevilla showed the importance of set pieces on their way to winning the trophy last term with five goals scored from them – a number only beaten by LASK Linz and Eintracht Frankfurt with six a-piece.
VAR may be a major talking point in the Premier League – but you won’t be able to escape it in the Europa League either and some bookmakers have capitalised on the conversation to offer specials for the tournament and individual games after it’s prominence in the latter stages of the tournament last season.

This Week’s Europa League Predictions
Don’t forget, the majority of fixtures in the Europa League tend to take place on a Thursday night, with many matches taking place over 6pm and 8pm time slots in the UK. We aim to have our tips ready on each of the big games before that time – but there are plenty of other things to consider ahead of matchday.
Liking your selected bet but considering whether there are better odds available? Most bookmakers will often priceboosts on the day of the game, be that a slightly enhanced bet on a Score & Win double, or maybe a treble of British teams all to win given a slight hike in the odds which could tempt you into changing your bet or simply offer better value on a punt you were already considering.
Europa League Accumulator
With games all taking place at the same time on a Thursday night, you can combine a host of our Europa League betting tips for an accumulator – the beauty being that not all of these bets have to be on the same market to allow you to build a big-odds bet.
Our tips are usually collated from several different markets on this page, but we also like selecting accumulators from specific markets, particularly Win-Draw-Win and Both teams to score as these are two of the more popular markets and both make sense to back in multiples due to the Europa League odds available in these markets.
Best Bookmakers for the Europa League
The Europa League has become one of the most exciting markets for bookmakers for a handful of reasons. Not only does it possess some of the biggest names in European football each and every year, including some that drop out of the Champions League after the group stages, but almost all games are played on a Thursday night, meaning it is rarely competing with domestic fixtures or Champions League games. Now, most bookmakers really see the value of these fixtures, with English teams such as Manchester United and Chelsea lifting the trophy in the last few years and fans tending to show more and more interest as the tournament progresses and the chance of silverware increases. That means you can find a host of Europa League betting offers and enhanced accumulators every Thursday throughout the season with most bookmakers, including the ones below – which we have selected as our favourites in this particular competition.
Of course, the Europa League’s matches are mostly scheduled for a Thursday evening, when there generally aren’t games in other competitions taking place. However, if you’re looking for tips for another day, we’ve got you covered with a whole range of different tournaments, competitions and leagues right here at Squawka Bet.
