Our Experience with BetGrouse

The BetGrouse sign-up process, as previously outlined, is a very simple one in comparison to many other bookmakers. We were able to go through the process, get our identity verified, make a deposit using the Debit Card method, place a qualifying bet and receive our free bet token with no issues whatsoever.

Our first bet was placed on the Euro 2024 qualifying fixture between North Macedonia and England in Skopje, where we backed both teams to score and the Three Lions to take the victory. Unfortunately for us, while both teams did find the net, the game ended in a 1-1 draw, meaning our qualifying bet was a losing one – but we were able to place a bet the following night on a Wales victory against Turkey using our £10 free bet token.

Odds-wise, we weren’t too disappointed with what we found in terms of prices from BetGrouse. Although they are unsurprisingly not as competitive as some of the more popular, more established sportsbooks, when compared to other new brands they were certainly competitive and the huge depth of both sports and markets available can’t be denied. Where new bookmakers often take some time to build out from a small base, we were happy to see markets including ‘Anytime Assist’ and ‘Double Chance/Overs’ on these Euro 2024 qualifying fixtures, which aren’t available everywhere.

Although we haven’t personally placed a bet on any of these sports yet, it’s good to see some more obscure events such as Bandy and Futsal covered to keep all sports fans interested while there are also dedicated sections for some of the more popular e-Sports leagues such as Rocket League and Counterstrike. One issue we did find was the lack of regular, recurring sports promotions and price boosts and it seems as though the promotions section does cater more to the site’s casino users than sports players. There’s a good array of games if you are the kind of punter to use both the sports and casino section, although nothing in the way of live roulette or blackjack as things stand.

In the early stages of betting with this bookmaker, we’re seeing some reasonable value considering the constraints that a new bookmaker is put under, but what we have certainly found is an easy sign-up process and a instinctive sportsbook design. There are still improvements to be made but at such an early stage there are really encouraging signs from BetGrouse.

BetGrouse Pros

Easy to use interface

For a new bookmaker, BetGrouse have a really well designed website that has a familiar design to many punters that have liked to use new betting sites in recent years, but that’s not an issue whatsoever. The slick layout makes it very easy to find which section of the site you desire with a few short clicks and the black and green colour scheme is a more attractive one than many of the other new firms on the market at the moment.

Great range of markets and sports

You’d be surprised how many bookmakers offer a limited range of markets in 2023, but either way this is not the case for BetGrouse. You’ll be hard-pushed to find any sport that isn’t available within the sportsbook and what’s more, the markets within these sports are really deep given this is still a very new bookmaker on the scene. For example, even some established, long-running, former high-street bookmakers don’t offer assist markets – but you can find them on big Premier League games with BetGrouse.

Good amount of banking options

Although you’ll need to make your first deposit using your card in order to qualify for the new customer offer, BetGrouse offer a large range of payment methods include PayPal, Skrill and Trustly. There are few things more frustrating as a punter than when your preferred payment method is unavailable and you’re restricted to how you deposit into your account, but that is unlikely to happen with BetGrouse.

Shorter odds

Due in some part to their recent arrival on the scene, BetGrouse perhaps don’t offer the best overrounds with their odds. It’s often the case that newer bookmakers slowly improve their offering on this front with time though and it’s certainly not the case that BetGrouse offer the worst odds available on the market by any stretch of the imagination – but they’re by no means the best value either as a general rule.

Lack of live casino options

Although there are tonnes of games available to play in the casino section, most of these appear to be slots games and there’s no easy way to navigate to the more traditional casino options such as Roulette and Blackjack. We always prefer to play these games live too but this is not something that BetGrouse are able to offer at the moment.

No Mobile App

As things stand there’s no mobile app available for BetGrouse. Again, this isn’t wholly uncommon for a new bookmaker who will generally look to get their website up and running before turning their attention to creating a mobile app. The web version of the app is mobile friendly and we’d anticipate the app, whenever it does arrive, to have the same comfortable and familiar-feeling user experience attached.

It’s perhaps unfair to compare BetGrouse to more established bookmakers with huge player bases, so we’ve decided to compare them to some other newer bookmakers on the scene by taking a look at some of the odds they’re offering on Premier League games that are upcoming at the time of writing in November 2023.

Of course this is a very small sample size and we decided to use different markets for these games too in order to get a better reflection of the prices offered in comparison to the rest of the new bookmakers on the market. Final Thoughts: Is BetGrouse a trustworthy brand?

Although brand new to the market, we’ve really enjoyed playing with BetGrouse so far. They offer competitive odds when compared to the other new brands on the market but those odds are well packaged within an easy to use website with a slick, attractive design.

There are definitely ways to improve, as you’d expect for a bookmaker still in it’s early stages of existence. For example, we’d like to see more regular sports-based promotions and offers for existing customers – although the regular price boosts and ‘top offers’ do give the opportunity to earn better value on an occasional basis.

We’d also like to see a better BetGrouse new customer offer. While the one currently available is by no means the worst on the market, we’d like to at least have our deposit matched in terms of free bets and bonuses as you tend to get as a minimum with most new customer offer.

The large array of deposit methods is a real positive for such a new bookmaker and they certainly have a thorough range of sports and markets available with plenty of more obscure sports available to bet on alongside the more obvious events. Equally, we’re impressed by the depth of markets available on Premier League and Champions League fixtures with player stats bets becoming available and surely only likely to increase as time goes on, making BetGrouse a very viable option for the discerning football punter, with improvements only likely to come as their popularity grows in the coming months and years.
