    Chelsea Squawka Score ratings 2025-26

The 2025-26 season is over, and it was a disappointing one for Chelsea, who finished 10th and missed out on European qualification entirely. Take a look at the Blues’ most-used XI from this season below and how the players have managed to perform according to the Squawka Score rating system.

The Squawka Score is a metric developed to assess a player’s performance related to other players in the same position. It’s a percentage rating from 0 to 100, calculated based on various per-90-minute statistics, including the obvious stats such as goals and assists, but also some more obscure ones that are more position-specific.

GK – Robert Sanchez – 50% – Sanchez enjoyed an excellent first half of the season, but his Score tumbled rapidly as the campaign went on. The Spaniard prevented just 0.16 goals per 90 and was as low as the 40-60th percentile for save percentage.

RB – Malo Gusto – 52% – Similarly, Gusto’s form fell off in the second half of the campaign, as did that of many in Chelsea blue. The Frenchman ended the season with a respectable two goals and three assists, and was in the 80-95th percentile for interceptions per 90. However, Gusto won just 55.48% of his ground duels and was down in the 20-40th percentile for tackles won and clearances.

CB – Trevoh Chalobah – 64% – Chalobah scores well among centre-backs, ranking in the 80-95th percentile for clearances, while he lost just 0.29 challenges per 90. The former Crystal Palace loanee also showed class on the ball, having just 0.32 unsuccessful touches per 90 and boasting a 76.28% forward passing accuracy.

CB – Wesley Fofana – 60% – Fofana established himself as a first-choice centre-back at Stamford Bridge this season and looked solid, if unspectacular. The former Leicester man was dominant in the air with his 66.99% aerial duel success rate ranking in the 80-95th percentile, and his forward passing accuracy also stood at 79.28%. However, he won just 0.52 tackles per 90, putting him in the bottom 20% of Premier League centre-backs.

LB – Marc Cucurella – 70% – Cucurella is among the best left-backs in the Premier League right now, and has been a rare bright spark for Chelsea. He was dispossessed in his own half just 0.13 times per 90 and ranked in the 80-95th percentile for touches in the opposition box. The Spaniard registered four assists throughout the season.

CM – Moises Caicedo – 53% – Caicedo is another Chelsea star who suffered as the campaign went on. The Ecuador international was still all-action, but ended the season in the 60-80th percentile for duels won, while his possession numbers left a lot to be desired.

CM – Enzo Fernandez – 69% – Fernandez ranked poorly for his defensive statistics, though that isn’t his job in this Chelsea midfield. He did score well for his goals, big chances created and final third entries, though. The Argentine ended the campaign with 10 goals and four assists in the Premier League alone.

CAM – Cole Palmer – 56% – Injury disrupted Palmer’s season, not just in terms of playing time. The Englishman never really found form when he made it onto the pitch, with the exception of his goals and shots on target per 90 — though half of his 10 strikes were penalties. Palmer has missed out on England’s World Cup squad.

RW – Pedro Neto – 59% – Neto ranks pretty poorly for goals and intentional assists among wingers. His best metric is his penalty area entries, sitting in the 80-95th percentile with 6.84 per 90.

LW – Alejandro Garnacho – 58% – Garnacho simply hasn’t got going as a Chelsea player. The Argentine ended the campaign with just one goal and four assists in the Premier League, and was in the 40-60th percentile for penalty area entries.

ST – Joao Pedro – 71% – Pedro ended the season second only to Erling Haaland (78%) among strikers with at least 50% of minutes played. The Brazilian came fourth in the Golden Boot race with 15 goals, and was in the 80-95th percentile for fouls won in the final third and layoff passes completed, providing a real focal point.

    Chelsea’s set-piece specialists:

    • Penalties: Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez
    • Free-kicks: Pedro Neto, Reece James
    • Corners: Reece James, Pedro Neto
