Belgium are taking part in their 15th World Cup this summer and although they’re expected to stil

Rudi Garcia manages Belgium as they navigate a period of transition, but they still boast a core of high-quality experienced players such as Kevin De Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois, and Romelu Lukaku, who will each be looking to shine in what could be their final World Cup, while the Premier League duo of Jeremy Doku and Leandro Trossard add pace, creativity, and cutting edge from the flanks.

Belgium odds to win the World Cup

Punters can back Belgium at as long as 50/1 to win the World Cup for the first time in their history, which places them approximately 11th in the outright odds table alongside Colombia, and some distance behind the favoured European trio of Spain, England, and France.

Belgium came closest in 2018, when they finished third. But they endured a torrid and toxic campaign four years ago in Qatar. They bowed out in the group stages and scored just one goal in a third-placed finish behind Morocco and Croatia. It was an almighty disappointment for their Golden Generation.

Belgium did, however, go unbeaten in qualifying for the 2026 edition – in fact, they’ve not lost a qualifying game since 2009 – where they picked up 18 points from eight games in Group J, although it was one of the more favourable groups consisting of Wales, North Macedonia, Kazakhstan, and Liechtenstein.

Belgium odds to win Group G

The Red Devils have been placed in Group G alongside seven-time AFCON champions Egypt. They are also up against an Iran side preparing for their fourth consecutive World Cup, and Oceania qualifiers New Zealand.

The majority of bookmakers price Belgium as the firm 4/9 favourites to top the group – something they achieved in both 2018 and 2014. Bookmakers price them as short as 1/66 to qualify from the group stage.

Many see Egypt as Belgium’s main challengers at 9/2, and they possess the tools to hurt the Europeans through the likes of Mo Salah and Omar Marmoush. Punters can back Iran at 6/1 to finish at the summit, while bookmakers quote New Zealand as the rank 20/1 outsiders. It’s worth noting that Egypt, Iran, and New Zealand have never advanced past the group stage at a World Cup – although that will change for one, or even two, of these countries in North America.

Belgium stage of elimination odds

With up to three teams potentially advancing from Group G, it’s extremely unlikely that Belgium fail to reach the knockout stages. This is reflected in their 14/1 odds to exit at the first hurdle. That said, they were group favourites in Qatar and suffered an embarrassing early exit.

If Belgium top the group as expected, they will move on to the newly formed round-of-32. There they will be favourites against a third-placed team from Group A, E, H, I, or J. A win there would send them into the last-16, likely against the winners of Group D. Bookmakers price Belgium at 2/1 to exit at this stage, though they would fancy their chances against any of those sides.

A potential quarter-final showdown with tournament favourites Spain looms. A 3/1 price sits on a Belgian exit at that stage.

Belgium World Cup Top Goalscorer Odds

Romelu Lukaku will hope to reclaim form and fitness in 2026 after missing the second chunk of 2025 through injury. No player from the country has found the back of the net more times at the World Cup.

Belgium’s starting eleven brims with attacking talent. Leandro Trossard has enjoyed an excellent season for Arsenal, Jeremy Doku has dazzled at times for Manchester City, and Kevin De Bruyne brings the nous and experience.
