Premier League top scorers: Golden Boot race standings for 2019/20

It doesn’t matter how much changes in football, the art of goalscoring will always be the most lauded element of the game.

Whether it’s Alan Shearer or Thierry Henry, a simple tap-in or a 30-yard screamer, they all count. As long as the ball ends up in the back of the net, supporters will go into delirium and those making it happen will be held in the highest regard.

Before the suspension of play this season early in March, things were really hotting up in the Premier League Golden Boot race. Leicester City’s Jamie Vardy topped the list 19 goals but hot on his heels were the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (17), Mohamed Salah and Sergio Aguero (both 16), as well as Southampton’s surprise package, Danny Ings (15).
