Colombia have advanced to the Round of 32 of the 2026 World Cup after finishing top of Group K with seven points from a possible nine.
Nestor Lorenzo’s side opened their campaign with a confident win over Uzbekistan before following that up with another strong performance to beat DR Congo and put themselves in a commanding position in the group. A hard-fought draw with Portugal in their final game was enough to seal top spot, with Colombia finishing two points above the Portuguese.
It has been a controlled and disciplined showing from Lorenzo’s side, blending attacking quality with defensive structure at key moments, and they now move into the knockout rounds full of confidence.
Colombia will face Ghana in the Round of 32, a fixture that looks well within their reach on current form.

At the time of writing, Colombia have dropped from 50/1 outsiders to 33/1 after their impressive end to the group phase.
They have an incredibly favourable tie against a defensively organised Ghana team who lost their final outing against Croatia to finish third in Group L.

Luis Diaz carries Colombia’s greatest attacking threat, and scored in the 3-1 win over Uzbekistan, which saw his Golden Boot odds cut from 50/1 to around the 33/1 mark.
