Championship top scorers: 2019/20 standings for Golden Boot race

Europe’s most competitive league may very well be the Championship and the 2019/20 season is proving to be no exception.

As things stand the battle to go up is being hotly contested, and the same can be said about who will win the Golden Boot accolade.

Fulham’s lethal finisher Aleksandar Mitrovic currently occupies the top spot, having amassed 23 goals, but he has been joined by Brentford’s Ollie Watkins in recent weeks.

It seems likely the award will go to one of those two strikers as the next name on the list, Lewis Grabban, has 19 for the season.

Behind him is Huddersfield Town’s Karlan Grant on 17, while one back on are two players both on 16 goals: Jarrod Bowen, who most certainly won’t be catching Mitrovic after leaving Hull City for West Ham during the January transfer window, and Bristol City’s Nahki Wells.
