Championship most assists: 2019/20 season standings for England’s second tier
All eyes may have been on the Premier League‘s resumption in recent weeks, but the Championship has also returned with some explosive fixtures.
It’s all to play for in the race for promotion, with West Brom, Brentford and Fulham battling to join Leeds in the automatic positions while there are a raft of clubs still fighting for their lives at the foot of the table.
Key to those quests for safety, and entry to the promised land, will be those bedazzling assist-merchants. Have the league’s top playmakers picked up from where they left off? Or are we set for a late charge from an unlikely creative source?
West Brom’s talismanic loanee Matheus Pereira currently leads the way ahead of Millwall’s Jed Wallace for most assists this season, while Bristol City’s Niclas Eliasson occupies third place.
