DR Congo are in the World Cup finals for the first time since 1974 but couldn’t celebrate holding Portugal to a 1-1 draw.

DR Congo odds to win the World Cup
It’s fair to say that DR Congo are not exactly expected to compete for the trophy this summer.
With no previous World Cup experience in the squad, they seemingly don’t have the quality to compete with the biggest teams in the tournament – but they got off to a fine start in Group K with that draw against Portugal.

DR Congo odds to win Group K
Group K is an interesting one, with a representative from each of UEFA, CONMEBOL, CAF, and the AFC, and most expect DR Congo to struggle against the might of Portugal and Colombia.
While they held out for a draw against the Europeans, a loss to the South Americans ended any chance the Leopards had to top their group.
DR Congo World Cup top goalscorer odds
Bookmakers have included both Cedric Bakambu and Yoane Wissa in the top goalscorer market. Although they offer neither at odds that inspire much confidence.
Real Betis forward Bakambu, now 34, has been a real stalwart for his country with 21 goals in his 68 caps. Wissa has endured an injury-hit campaign at Newcastle United but has the quality to be among the goals this summer and got his campaign off to a fine start with that equaliser against Portugal.
