Canada won their first ever World Cup game in emphatic style in their second group stage game to put themselves into top spot in Group B.
After a 1-1 draw with Bosnia-Herzegovina in their opening match, the Canucks put in a dominant display against Qatar in Vancouver to run out 6-0 winners and put themselves in the driving seat in the group, with qualification to the next round all but sewn up.

Canada’s odds have come in to around 150/1 on the back of that emphatic win over Qatar. In reality, they’re unlikely to have another game quite as easy as that one turned out to be.

Switzerland are still favourites to top Group B, as a win in the meeting between them and Canada in the next game will secure top spot for them. A draw will be enough for the Canucks however as they have a better goal difference going into the game.
