There was plenty of entertainment in Gameweek 27 of the 2025-26 Premier League season.
Manchester City closed the gap at the top of the table before Arsenal re-opened a five-point lead following their resounding 4-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur. Both sides are represented in the Squawka Score Team of the Week, as are Manchester United, Crystal Palace, Aston Villa, Liverpool, West Ham United, Fulham and Nottingham Forest.
We’ve used our Squawka Score to determine the team of the week, based on the statistical leaders for metrics relevant to their positions. And as ever, we’ve thrown an honourable mention XI for good measure.
The Squawka Score is our proprietary performance rating, combining multiple Opta stats into a single percentage (45 mins played minimum). It benchmarks players against their positional peers, allowing quick comparisons. Learn more about how it works here: https://www.squawka.com/en/news/squawka-score-explained/

GK: Dean Henderson (Crystal Palace)
- Squawka score: 88%
Crystal Palace bounced back from their disappointing 1-1 draw with Zrinjski Mostar on Thursday with a 1-0 win over table-footers Wolverhampton Wanderers. Dean Henderson was the Eagles hero on Sunday, saving a first-half Tolu Arokodare penalty. That was one of seven Henderson saves at Selhurst Park, as the Palace star prevented 2.56 goals in a fine showing.
Honourable mention: Bart Verbruggen (79%)
Brighton and Hove Albion claimed an impressive 2-0 win at high-flying Brentford on Saturday afternoon. Seagulls star Bart Verbruggen was solid between the sticks in the home triumph, making four saves in a clean sheet-attaining display.
RB: Diogo Dalot (Man Utd)
- Squawka score: 74%
Diogo Dalot was excellent as part of Manchester United’s defence in their 1-0 win over Everton. In contributing to the Red Devils’ clean sheet, Dalot made three interceptions retaining possession, four clearances and won possession four times in the defensive third. At the other end of the pitch, Dalot had one shot on target, four touches in the opposition box and two successful passes into the penalty area.
Honourable mention: Matty Cash (73%)

CB: Ibrahima Konate (Liverpool)
- Squawka score: 76%
Having stood firm in Liverpool’s 1-0 win at Nottingham Forest on Sunday, Ibrahima Konate features in the Team of the Week. The Frenchman was vital as the Reds rode out the storm to claim all the spoils at the City Ground, managing six clearances, three interceptions and two tackles.

CB: William Saliba (Arsenal)
- Squawka score: 74%
It’s an all-French centre-back partnership in the Team of the Week. William Saliba was again superb at the back for Arsenal as they earned a 4-1 win at rivals Tottenham. The Frenchman returned a 100% ground duel success rate and three interceptions in a routine afternoon for the 24-year-old.
Honourable mention: Trevoh Chalobah (73%)
Like Konsa, Trevoh Chalobah just misses out on a spot in the best XI. Chelsea may have conceded late on against Burnley, yet Chalobah again caught the eye for the Blues as he managed five clearances and a 92.31% retention rate.
LB: El Hadji Malick Diouf (West Ham)
- Squawka score: 72%
Rounding off the defence is West Ham star El Hadji Malick Diouf. The Senegalese full-back impressed off the ball as he won nine aerial duels and managed five clearances to help the Hammers to a point.
Honourable mention: Tyrick Mitchell (71%)

RW: Harry Wilson (Fulham)
- Squawka score: 75%
Harry Wilson continued his flying Fulham form with a fifth league assist of the season in Sunday’s 3-1 win at Sunderland. That assist came from one chance created at the Stadium of Light, while the 28-year-old was on hand to help out defensively having managed seven clearances.
Honourable mention: Bukayo Saka (70%)
Fresh from penning a new deal, Bukayo Saka impressed in Sunday’s north London derby. Arsenal’s Star Boy managed three tackles, created two chances and completed two take-ons in a notable display down the right.
DM: Rodri (Manchester City)
Squawka score: 76%
Manchester City boosted their title chances with a 2-1 win over Newcastle United on Saturday. But they did need to ride out a late Magpies storm to secure a huge three points. Rodri was one of their star performers in the vital victory as he managed five tackles and completed two take-ons to make the cut.
Honourable mention: Tomas Soucek (73%)
The second West Ham player to just miss out on a spot in the side, Tomas Soucek played a vital role in shielding the Hammers backline. The Czech star won five duels and three aerial duels in a commendable display.
DM: Casemiro (Man Utd)
- Squawka score: 79%
Casemiro was a wall in the Man Utd midfield, helping protect the defence in their win over Everton. The Brazilian won three tackles and three aerial duels, alongside four possessions won in the middle third. He also made eight ball recoveries and won 10 duels overall. He was pretty tough to beat. But Casemioro also completed 15 forward passes and nine passes into the final third.

ST: Viktor Gyokeres (Arsenal)
- Squawka score: 86%
Unsurprisingly, Viktor Gyokeres makes the cut on the frontline in the team of the week following his two-goal salvo in Arsenal’s 4-1 win over Tottenham. Gyokeres got the better of Guglielmo Vicario with both shots on target on Sunday, and managed one completed take-on and created one chance in a superb attacking display.
Honourable mention: Joao Pedro (68%)
Joao Pedro was one of the handful of Chelsea players to come away from their 1-1 draw with Burnley with any credit. The former Brighton man bagged his 11th league goal of the season early on in the Stamford Bridge stalemate.
ST: Raul Jimenez (Fulham)
- Squawka score: 78%
Partnering Gyokeres in attack is Fulham frontman Raul Jimenez, who bagged his seventh and eighth league goals of the season at Sunderland over the weekend. The Mexican beat Robin Roefs with both of his efforts on target and won three aerial duels. He also completed two lay off passes.
