10. Mohamed Salah

• Predicted points: 8.1

A lack of double gameweek isn’t enough to oust Mohamed Salah from the top ten predictions, beating double gameweek assets from Aston Villa. Liverpool have a slim chance of lifting the Premier League title away at Leicester City on Sunday afternoon, with their star man providing 45 goal involvements in 32 appearances to contribute to that quest for silverware. 

9. Josko Gvardiol

• Predicted points: 8.7

Manchester City have kept two clean sheets in three since the international break and have two good opportunities to improve on that tally in their double gameweek. With some defensive assets sidelined through injury, it’s Josko Gvardiol who once again ascends as the best route into their back-line, having contributed a leading tally of five goals among defenders this season. 

8. Eberechi Eze 

• GW33 fixtures: Bournemouth (H) & Arsenal (A)
• Predicted points: 8.7

Crystal Palace had a Double Gameweek 32 to forget, with significant defeats to Manchester City and Newcastle United. Eberechi Eze scored six points across the two fixtures, opening the scoring against City before missing from the penalty spot against the Magpies. He still carries plenty of potential through his set piece involvement, with two assists in the last four gameweeks.

7. Ismaila Sarr 

• GW33 fixtures: Bournemouth (H) & Arsenal (A)
• Predicted points: 9.4

Ismaila Sarr was Crystal Palace’s best performing player from their double last time out, with an assist against Manchester City netting him seven points across the two fixtures. He now has 12 goal involvements for the campaign as he continues to play regular minutes in the heart of the Eagles attack. He scored in the reverse fixture against Arsenal. 

6. William Saliba

• Predicted points: 9.5

Arsenal’s defence remains attractive with 11 clean sheets this season and favourable fixtures against Ipswich Town and Crystal Palace, with a shut-out in the reverse fixture against Ipswich. They have conceded the fewest number of goals in the league this season. William Saliba narrowly edges out cheaper defensive options from the Gunners, with two goals this season.                                                                                                    

5. Kevin De Bruyne

• Predicted points: 10.0

176 minutes for Kevin De Bruyne across his last two fixtures, plus a goal and an assist in this time, has seen him grow in popularity. We now see AI favour his potential given increased minutes, as he claims to be playing pain free for the first time this season after an injury hampered campaign. He has historically performed very well in FPL double gameweeks.

4. Jean-Philippe Mateta

• Predicted points: 10.1

Jean-Philippe Mateta was perhaps the biggest disappointment last time out, managing just 100 minutes across two games and no goal involvements. He appears to still be first choice heading into these fixtures, despite just one goal since the international break. He has 15 goal involvements for the season and so a return to form could be just around the corner. 

3. Gabriel Martinelli

• Predicted points: 10.2

Arsenal carry the best fixtures of the double gameweek and so the appeal of their attackers is high, with Gabriel Martinelli in favour from AI. He has started all of their last four games in the Premier League, with an assist in this time, taking him up to 10 goal involvements for the season. He scored in the reverse fixture against Crystal Palace, which was a 5-1 win for the side. 

2. Omar Marmoush

• Predicted points: 10.4

Omar Marmoush is the key forward target for the double gameweek, having produced four goal involvements in the last four gameweeks. That takes him to seven involvements in nine starts for the club, with minutes close to guaranteed given the injury to Erling Haaland. Manchester City come into this double less fatigued than the other three sides, due to having no midweek fixtures since the break.

• Predicted points: 11.7

Bukayo Saka tops the AI rankings as the best captain pick for the double gameweek, although we have seen his minutes managed in recent games as he returns to full fitness. At the top of his game he’s an enticing pick given his fixtures, with 17 goal involvements from 16 starts this season. He has one goal in three league games since returning from injury, playing around 90 minutes combined.
