10. Virgil Van Dijk

  • GW25 fixtures: Brentford (A), Luton (H)
  • Predicted points: 8.5

Liverpool captain Virgil Van Dijk is the only defender to make the top 10 ahead of the double, with his side having the most attractive fixtures on paper. Liverpool rank second for clean sheets in this campaign, with five of their eight shut-outs coming at home, including in the reverse fixture against Brentford. With injuries elsewhere in the Liverpool defence, Van Dijk is the safest route into this back-line.

9. Elijah Adebayo

  • GW25 fixtures: Man Utd (H), Liverpool (A)
  • Predicted points: 8.9

Form man Elijah Adebayo is the only Luton player to make this top 10 with a challenging pair of fixtures. The Hatters have scored 10 goals in their last four Premier League games, with Adebayo involved in half of those. He’s budget friendly, allowing you to load up on Manchester City and Liverpool players for their respective doubles elsewhere in your squad.

8. Luis Diaz

  • GW25 fixtures: Brentford (A), Luton (H)
  • Predicted points: 9.0

Luis Diaz is going under the radar heading into the double gameweek, as the cheapest route into Liverpool’s front three, with Mohamed Salah expected to be eased in gradually following a hamstring injury. Diaz scooped two bonus points at the weekend after scoring against Burnley, which takes him up to four attacking returns in his last four games. He also scored in the reverse fixture against Luton.

7. Julian Alvarez

  • GW25 fixtures: Chelsea (H), Brentford (H)
  • Predicted points: 9.3

Julian Alvarez is one of four Manc City attackers here ahead of home games against Chelsea and Brentford. Minutes are always a gamble where Pep Guardiola’s side is concerned, but Alvarez is their only player to start every Premier League game this season. In the last four gameweeks he’s scored twice, ranking top among Man City players for both shots on target with 10 and big chances with three.

6. Phil Foden

  • GW25 fixtures: Chelsea (H), Brentford (H)
  • Predicted points: 10.1

A hat-trick against Brentford in Gameweek 24 sees Phil Foden as the form Man City player going into this double, with another opportunity to haul against the same opponent. He comes into this double with a run of 12 starts, and four attacking returns in the last four gameweeks. The reintroduction of Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland into this Man City lineup has not hindered his output.

5. Diogo Jota

  • GW25 fixtures: ntford (A), Luton (H)
  • Predicted points: 10.7

Diogo Jota is the most popular Liverpool acquisition for this week, having produced five goals and three assists in the last six gameweeks. He leads the overall standings for goal involvements in this period, with only Phil Foden notching more fantasy points in this time. Jota scored against Brentford in the reverse fixture and has completed 90 minutes in three of his last four appearances.

4. Ivan Toney

  • GW25 fixtures: Liverpool (H), Man City (A)
  • Predicted points: 11.0

Ivan Toney is the sole Brentford player in the top 10, with the Bees talisman producing four goal involvements in four since his return from a long-term ban and playing every single minute in that time. He is top for Big Chances in this period and he’s also on penalties. Consider him fixture-proof despite the difficult matches on paper: he scored a brace the last time he played at the Etihad.

3. Darwin Nunez

  • GW25 fixtures: Brentford (A), Luton (H)
  • Predicted points: 11.4

With Mohamed Salah a major doubt for starts in this double, it’s Darwin Nunez sitting top of the Liverpool contingent. He has the potential for a monster haul given his underlying numbers: he ranks top for shots (20) and Big Chances (6) among all players in the last four gameweeks, providing three goals and an assist. He should remain on penalties too, provided Salah isn’t on the pitch.

2. Kevin De Bruyne

  • GW25 fixtures: Chelsea (H), Brentford (H)
  • Predicted points: 12.2

Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne has been outstanding since returning from injury, producing goal involvements in four successive gameweeks, with one goal and four assists. He found himself benched against Everton last time out but that shouldn’t be a concern for his prospective owners, since a recent rest bodes will for his minutes going forward.

1. Erling Haaland

  • GW25 fixtures: Chelsea (H), Brentford (H)
  • Predicted points: 17.2

Erling Haaland tops the projections with 17.2 points for this week – this is the biggest prediction we’ve had all season, leaving Haaland as a perfect candidate for Triple Captain this week. He netted a combined 21 points across the reverse of these fixtures and has two goals and one assist in two starts since injury. He is the best goalscorer the Premier League has ever seen and he also has penalties in his locker.
