Barcelona hold a strong advantage already, comfortable victors in the first match coming out on top by 22 points (91-69) against the Lithuanian outfit, before beating them again 89-81 to cash in on home advantage. They need just one more win to book their place in the final four.
If the Catalan outfit do reach the Final Four (and they are strong favourites to do so) it will be for the third year running. They ended the regular season strongly, winning five of their last six games, and will be looking to wrap this up quickly having required a fifth game of the series to see them through in each of the previous two years.
Zalgiris had no answers for Barcelona in the previous two games, but the beauty of the five-game format is that it allows coaches chances to make adjustments to matchups. The Lithuanians have not beaten Barca since 2017 but with the Final Four being held in Kaunas, they have extra incentive to end that drought — especially having home advantage for the next two games.
