Group K at World Cup 2026 is one full of intrigue, with a debutant sitting alongside a frontrunner for the competition.
Portugal were drawn into Group K and swiftly joined by Colombia. Uzbekistan were the third team confirmed in Group K, with DR Congo joining them after winning their intercontinental play-off match in March.

World Cup 2026 Group K Fixtures
After Portugal opened Group K with a 1-1 draw against DR Congo, Uzbekistan make their World Cup debut when they take on Colombia in the early hours of Thursday 18th June.
Matchday two sees Uzbekistan have to contend with the might of Portugal. The other match in Group K sees Colombia and DR Congo clash.
The final Group K games take place at the same time on Sunday 28th June. Portugal will hope to round off their campaign with a victory against Colombia. Uzbekistan and DR Congo face off in the other match on matchday three.
World Cup 2026 Group K Results
Portugal are the clear favourites to come out on top in Group K. However, they were slow out of the blocks against the returning DR Congo, who held them to a 1-1 draw in the opening match.
There is a little bit of market interest in Colombia to finish top, but DR Congo did their chances no harm after their spirited display against the Portuguese. Uzbekistan remain the rank outsiders.
Portugal still look pretty assured to qualify from Group K and the bookies fancy Colombia to join them. We think otherwise, though. As demonstrated, DR Congo possess a little quality in their squad and we think they look overpriced in the market.
