A 2-1 win for Switzerland over hosts Canada secured top spot in Group B at World Cup 2026, with the Canucks progressing in second place.

Canada and Bosnia-Herzegovina opened up the action in Group B on Friday 12th June with a 1-1 draw, before Qatar and Switzerland also tied 1-1 in their first match.
Matchday two saw Switzerland bounce back to hammer Bosnia-Herzegovina 4-1 in Los Angeles while Canada cruised to a confident 6-0 victory over a nine-man Qatar in Vancouver.
The final games in Group B saw a group-decider as Switzerland took on Canada. Bosnia-Herzegovina meanwhile survived a scare against Qatar to emerge as 3-1 victors and all but secure their route through as one of the best third-placed teams.
