Using data from previous tournaments and qualifying, we’ve tasked our model with creating some World Cup AI predictions with correct score picks on every match at this summer’s tournament.
Our AI predictor combines data from qualifying matches, previous World Cups, bookmakers and more to determine the most likely correct score outcome from the game.
As the tournament progresses, the model will focus more heavily on the games that have already taken place within the tournament and it will look beyond results to input shot, possession and general match momentum data to see where value may lie.
Portugal vs DR Congo
Portugal are strong favourites, but DR Congo’s defensive numbers make me reluctant to chase a very wide score. The Selecao‘s recent sample is mied on the surface with four wins, three draws and one defeat. But the attacking ceiling remains obvious, especially after a 9-1 win over Armenia in qualifying. The market has Portugal around 2/7, with 2-0 the shortest correct score, and BTTS No favoured.
DR Congo are awkward, because they rarely get opened up. Their recent sample shows four wins, four draws and no defeats, with just 0.25 goals conceded per game and six clean sheets — including successive 0-0s against Jamaica and Algeria. That defensive resistance is why I prefer 2-0 over 3-0. Portugal should ahve enough final-third quality to break them down, but DR Congo’s structure points toward a patient, controlled Portuguese win rather than a rout.
AI prediction: Portugal 2-0 DR Congo

England vs Croatia
This is a strong-team meeting, and the prices reflect that. England are favourites around 8/11, but Croatia are short enough to make this a proper contest rather than a routine England win. England’s qualifying defensive record was exceptional: eight wins from eight, 2.75 goals scored per match, and zero goals conceded in the sample. That makes the shortest correct score, 1-0, very defensible.
Croatia’s form is also excellent, with seven wins, one draw and no defeats, averaging 3.25 goals per match, so I would not dismiss the 1-1 alternative. The catch is opponent context and market shape: under 2.5 goals is favoured, BTTS No is shorter than Yes, and England’s clean-sheet run is too strong to ignore. Croatia can make this uncomfortable, but England’s defensive control and home-side market edge point to 1-0.
AI prediction: England 1-0 Croatia

Ghana vs Panama
This is the closest match of the four on price. Ghana are only slight favourites around 6/5, with Panama not far behind and the draw sitting very live. The market’s shortest correct score is 1-1, and that makes sense because both teams bring strong form but neither has a decisive enough edge to justify a confident win call. Ghana’s recent sample is excellent at seven wins, one draw and no defeats, with no scoring blanks.
Panama’s record is also unbeaten, at five wins and three draws, with five clean sheets and only 0.50 conceded per match. Ghana probably have the higher ceiling, shown by wins like 5-0 away to Central African Republic, but Panama’s recent run includes enough scoring and defensive structure to stay in the game. Under 2.5 is favoured, but BTTS Yes is competitive, so 1-1 is the best balance between market and form.
AI prediction: Ghana 1-1 Panama

Uzbekistan vs Colombia
Colombia are a strong market favourite at around 1.35, and the correct-score board is split almost perfectly between 0-2 and 0-1. I lean 0-2 because the totals market still expects at least two goals more often than not, while BTTS No is clearly favoured. The feed did not return a clean recent Colombia scoring sample, so the odds shape carries extra weight here.
Uzbekistan are not a soft opponent, though. Their recent sample shows 4 wins, 3 draws and 1 defeat, six clean sheets, and only 0.62 conceded per match, including a 3-0 win over Qatar and draws with UAE and Iran. That defensive record keeps 0-1 very live. Still, Colombia’s price implies a clear quality gap, and if Uzbekistan have to chase late, the second goal becomes more likely than their consolation. 0-2 is the best main score.
AI prediction: Uzbekistan 0-2 Colombia
