Chelsea and West Ham United face off in the Premier League on Saturday at 5:30pm, with Anthony Taylor set to referee.
Taylor is one of the most-used referees in the Premier League this season, overseeing 18 games so far — the joint-most alongside Michael Oliver. This will be Taylor’s third Chelsea league game of the season, and his second for West Ham.
Taylor has also overseen four derby matches in the league, including two all-London clashes.
Chelsea go into the game just outside the top four, while West Ham are five points from safety.

Anthony Taylor’s Chelsea record
This will be Taylor’s 58th game as a referee, only officiating one club more. Chelsea fans don’t have happy memories of Taylor, but he has only sent off four Blues players in his 57 matches. He has, however, shown Chelsea 129 yellow cards — more than any other team. Taylor has also awarded Chelsea 10 penalties, only giving more to two teams. And they are unbeaten in their past six games with Taylor as a referee.

What happened when Anthony Taylor last refereed Chelsea?
Three of the four red cards Taylor has shown to Chelsea players have come in games against Arsenal. That includes one in his previous Chelsea match. Moises Caicedo was sent off after a VAR review for a bad tackle on Mikel Merino. Taylor only showed one other yellow card to Chelsea for a foul by Marc Cucurella.

Anthony Taylor’s West Ham record
Taylor has refereed West Ham 41 times so far. They don’t have the best record with Taylor in the middle, losing more times than they have won. Despite the large number of games, though, Taylor is yet to award a penalty to West Ham. He has, however, awarded 10 penalties against them.

What happened when Anthony Taylor last refereed West Ham?
Taylor’s last and only West Ham game this season was a 3-2 home defeat against Aston Villa in December. There wasn’t too much for Taylor to do, with just three yellow cards — one shown to West Ham’s El Hadji Malick Diouf for dissent late on.
What should we expect from Anthony Taylor?
Unsurprisingly, Taylor is one of the harsher referees in the Premier League. He has shown more cards (71) than any other referee this season and averages 3.9 per game. Only a few referees average fewer fouls per card than his 5.0 too. So expect a lot of cards, especially with Chelsea involved.
