Liverpool vs Arsenal is the heavyweight pick of the Premier League weekend, a Sunday-afternoon showdown at Anfield (4.30pm) that pits a stuttering Liverpool against an Arsenal side flying at the top of the table.
Arsenal arrive six points clear of their hosts, sitting second on 21 points to Liverpool’s 15 in fourth, and have won seven of their eight games. Liverpool, by contrast, have been oddly fragile at home. Anthony Eadson has picked through the data and settled on two tips, so here are our predictions and best bets.
Premium Tips
Arsenal’s form and Liverpool’s home wobble shape both of our picks for this top-of-the-table clash.
| Premium Tip | Odds | Why we’re backing it |
|---|---|---|
| Arsenal most corners | 21/20 (Ladbrokes) | Arsenal have been the stronger side at the corner flag this season, averaging 5.9 corners won and just 3.9 conceded per Premier League game. Liverpool’s numbers are much closer to even at 4.8 for and 4.1 against, and they have scored only four goals in four home games, which hardly suggests sustained pressure at Anfield. The Gunners have won three of their four away games and should see plenty of the ball, so 21/20 with Ladbrokes for Arsenal to win the corner count is a sensible way in. |
| Arsenal to win to nil | 7/2 (Sky Bet) | Arsenal have the meanest defence in the Premier League, conceding five goals in eight games and keeping five clean sheets. Three of those shut-outs came on the road, in 1-0 wins at Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest and a 2-0 win at Sunderland. Liverpool have struggled for goals at Anfield, scoring four in four home games and drawing a blank against Fulham and Manchester City. The last two meetings produced just one goal between them, so Sky Bet’s 7/2 on an Arsenal win without reply fits our 1-0 prediction. |

How Liverpool go into the game
Liverpool sit fourth on 15 points and go into the weekend off the back of a 2-0 home win over Brighton & Hove Albion and a 2-1 victory at Brentford, so there are signs of life. Four wins, three draws and a single defeat is a solid-looking return on the surface.
The worry is Anfield itself. Liverpool have won just one of their four league games at home (W1 D2 L1), losing 3-0 to Manchester City and drawing 0-0 with Fulham on their own patch, and they have scored only four home goals all season. On the road they have been excellent, winning three of four, but it is their form in front of the Kop that will concern supporters here.
How Arsenal go into the game
Arsenal have been the division’s most convincing side, winning seven of their eight games to sit second on 21 points, level on points with Manchester City. They have conceded just five goals all season and kept five clean sheets, the meanest defence in the league.
They beat Everton 2-0 at home last time out and have won four of their last five, the only blip a 3-0 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion. On their travels the Gunners have won three of four, grinding out clean-sheet wins at Nottingham Forest and Sunderland, which is exactly the sort of away steel that travels well to Anfield.

Liverpool vs Arsenal head-to-head
| Date | Home | Score | Away |
|---|---|---|---|
| 08/01/26 | Arsenal | 0-0 | Liverpool |
| 31/08/25 | Liverpool | 1-0 | Arsenal |
| 11/05/25 | Liverpool | 2-2 | Arsenal |
| 27/10/24 | Arsenal | 2-2 | Liverpool |
| 04/02/24 | Arsenal | 3-1 | Liverpool |
These meetings rarely disappoint, though they have been cagey of late. Three of the last five league meetings have ended level, with Liverpool edging the most recent Anfield fixture 1-0 in August 2025 and the sides sharing a 0-0 at the Emirates in January. The last two meetings produced just one goal between them.

Liverpool vs Arsenal score prediction
On current form it is hard to look past the visitors. Arsenal are the most reliable side in the division and Liverpool’s home struggles make Anfield less of a fortress than usual, so a narrow, low-scoring away win is the call. Score prediction: Liverpool 0-1 Arsenal.
