Our PredictionOdds & BookmakerConfidenceWhy We’re Backing It
Both Teams to Score (Yes)15/8 @ BOYLESports
(34.8%)
⭐⭐⭐⭐All of the Manchester United players will be backing Bruno Fernandes to get one more assist this season and to equal the record for the most in a single Premier League campaign. With 17 assists across his last 27 matches, there’s plenty of reason to get behind the 15/8 in a game where United could rack up the goals.
Casemiro to score a header8/1 @ QuinnBet
(11.1%)
⭐⭐⭐Casemiro has enjoyed a strong season with United and only Benjamin Sesko has scored more league goals this term for the club. Remarkably, eight of Casemiro’s nine league goals have been headers. In the regular goalscorer market he has around 3/1, so take the 8/1 with QuinnBet for the Brazilian to score a header against Forest.

How both teams go into Man United vs Nottingham Forest

Manchester United saw their 23-match Premier League scoring run come to an end in last weekend’s goalless draw against Sunderland, with Bruno Fernandes also denied the chance to move level with the division’s assist record. Despite that result, Man Utd are unbeaten in four league matches and have already secured Champions League football for next season.

Michael Carrick’s side sit third in the table and have lost just one of their final home league games across the past 18 seasons at Old Trafford. Carrick has also impressed since taking interim charge, suffering only two defeats in 15 matches as he pushes to land the role permanently ahead of next season.

Nottingham Forest stretched their unbeaten Premier League run to eight matches after last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Newcastle United, marking their longest streak without defeat in the competition since the 1995-96 season. Elliot Anderson rescued a point against his former club with a superb strike at the City Ground, while Forest are now mathematically safe from relegation.

Vitor Pereira’s side have also impressed away from home, winning their last three Premier League away matches by an aggregate score of 11-1. Forest claimed a 3-2 victory at Old Trafford last season and are unbeaten across their last three meetings with Manchester United ahead of this weekend’s clash.

Man United team news

Manchester United are expected to remain without Matthijs de Ligt for Sunday’s clash as the defender continues to struggle with a back issue. Benjamin Sesko also faces a race to be fit after missing the draw with Sunderland because of a shin problem, meaning Joshua Zirkzee could continue leading the line at Old Trafford.

Nottingham Forest team news

Nottingham Forest are still dealing with defensive injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s trip to Old Trafford, with Murillo and Ola Aina both expected to miss out. Morgan Gibbs-White is training in a protective mask after suffering a head injury against Chelsea and could still feature, while Dan Ndoye may return to the squad and Ibrahim Sangare has resumed first-team training.

Will United’s attacking depth be too much for Forest?

Manchester United have performed well under Michael Carrick, but with Forest eight unbeaten in the legaue, we are swerving the match result. Instead, we like the look of Fernandes to provide an assist at 15/8 and Casemiro to score a header at 8/1 with QuinnBet
