Everton vs Man City prediction, odds, tips and team news

Manchester City will be looking to boost their Champions League qualifying hopes when they travel to Everton on Saturday 19th April 3pm. Find our match preview and betting tips below, which include a 12/1 selection that is available with Sky Bet.
Pep Guardiola’s side head to Goodison Park aiming to secure a top-four finish, with the likes of Chelsea, Newcastle United, and Aston Villa providing stiff competition. However, it will not be easy against a resurgent Everton, who have suffered just one defeat in 12 league games since David Moyes’ return.
Iliman Ndiaye to Win 2+ Fouls (10/11 with Betfair)
The first selection I’m touting at Goodison is for Iliman Ndiaye to win two or more fouls in the match, at a current best price of 10/11 with Betfair. The 25-year-old is Everton’s most creative player and it’s no surprise that he has been fouled more times than any other player at the club this season. This bet has landed in his last 12 home Premier League matches, with an average of 2.41 fouls won per game, and considering that hit rate this season, I can’t keep away from him making it 13 in a row against City.
Kevin De Bruyne to Score from Outside the Box (12/1 with Sky Bet)
We are nearing the end of seeing Kevin De Bruyne in a Manchester City shirt and the Belgian put on an absolute masterclass in the 5-2 win over Crystal Palace last weekend. De Bruyne’s free-kick was the catalyst that started his side’s comeback after going 2-0 down in the first half and he showed some of the quality that has made us sit up and applaud over the last decade.
I think De Bruyne will finish the season in strong form, and he has now been involved in six goals in his last six matches for City. His ability to score from range remains a threat, with two of his three league goals coming from outside the box this season. I’m taking a punt on the 12/1 boosted price with Sky Bet for a repeat in this clash.

How both teams go into Everton vs Man City
Heading into the New Year, Everton looked set to endure another battle against relegation. That was until Moyes replaced Sean Dyche in the Goodison Park dugout. Back for his second spell, the Scotsman has dragged the Toffees well away from danger, and their safety could be mathematically secured with a positive result here.
As for Man City, a battle just to reach the top four is the consequence of their mid-season slump that saw them fall well out of title contention. All is not entirely lost this season, with the FA Cup still up for grabs – albeit they face a tricky test against high-flying Nottingham Forest in the last four. However, ensuring their Champions League status will be the top priority for Guardiola, who is yet to oversee a campaign outside of Europe’s premier club competition during his managerial career.
Everton team news
Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to return at the start of May. Meanwhile, Orel Mangala and Jesper Lindstrom remain long-term absentees.
Man City team news
The game may come too soon for the defensive duo of Manuel Akanji and John Stones, though their returns should not be far away. Erling Haaland will also be unavailable with an ankle injury, while Nathan Ake and Rodri are also long-term absentees.
Everton vs Man City head-to-head
Man City are unbeaten in each of their last 16 meetings with Everton across all competitions, since a 4-0 defeat in January 2017.
