EA FC 24: Best strikers to sign on Career Mode for every budget
EA Sports FC 24 is coming to a close, with FC 25 released at the end of September.
But that doesn’t mean it’s time to end. There’s still time for one final Manager Career run to prep you for the new game. Especially with Women’s Career coming in FC 25.
Sometimes there is nothing better than pushing a team to glory, whether that’s a new club or one created, with your own manager or an already-established name thanks to the new addition. But, whether you’re starting at Real Madrid or Fake Madrid, as Graham Potter or Harry Potter, who should you be signing?

They say defences win you titles but there may not be a more important position than the striker. You could have the best players in the world across the pitch, but it all counts for nothing if you don’t have a leading forward capable of taking his chances.
At the same time, a poor team can be saved by a good striker. But who do you go for on EA FC 24? We’ve taken a look at some of the top centre-back options available to buy in your first window, across an array of transfer fees to make your job just a bit easier.
Values and presence of release clauses may vary per save, while availability may vary depending on strictness of transfers.
EA FC 24 best strikers to sign on Career Mode – Under £5m
Emilio Aristizabal (Atletico Nacional)
Initial EA FC 24 overall: 61
Potential EA FC 24 overall: 83
Value: £875k
It’s hard to get a good striker for very cheap in EA FC’s Career Mode, but we’re starting off with a decently-priced Emilio Aristazabal.
The teenager is just 61-rated at the start of the game, so he’s better off for those taking charge of a lower league side. He’s also only two star for Skill Moves and Weak Foot, but you can nurture those with player development. Crucially at a lower level, he’s got starting Pace of 72 and 65 Finishing with 73 Agility and 72 Jumping. Of course, it’s all about the growth with his Potential of 83 overall, good for a lower level or even if you just want to turn a profit.
Still not the cheapest, Atletico Nacional will budge for around £750k for their teenage striker, with a sell on clause.
Nelson Weiper (Mainz)
Initial EA FC 24 overall: 67
Potential EA FC 24 overall: 86
Value: £2.2m
Moving slightly more expensive, Nelson Weiper is a good option without still breaking the bank.
Another teenager, German Weiper is 6’3″ with 75 Jumping an 74 Strength as a 66-rated striker, a good starting point. He’s also got 71 Finishing and 67 Dribbling (the individual stat) alongside 66 Pace. Again this won’t sound great for those in the higher leagues, but these players are here for the journey, improving as you rise up the ranks. For Weiper, there’s the potential to be among the top strikers in Career Mode if you stick with him, having a potential overall of 86.
Despite his high overall, you can still get a pretty good price for Weiper at around £1.9m — below his value, pinching the pennies.
Ricardo Pepi (PSV)
Initial EA FC 24 overall: 72
Potential EA FC 24 overall: 84
Value: £4.8m
Over in the Eredivisie, there’s an interesting striker in the form of Ricardo Pepi.
The American starts EA FC 24 Career Mode with an overall rating of 72, supplemented by his 80 Finishing, 74 Ball Control and 72 Shot Power. He’s also got three-star Skill Moves and three-star Weak Foot, which may not be ground-breaking, but it’s a good starting point. He’s also got 71 Pace and will grow as he reaches closer to his potential overall of 84.
A bit of a hefty price compared to others in this section, PSV will accept £4.8m for Pepi — meeting his value — with a sell-on.
EA FC 24 best strikers to sign on Career Mode – £5m – £20m
Mathys Tel (Bayern Munich)
Initial EA FC 24 overall: 74
Potential EA FC 24 overall: 88
Value: £8.5m
Mathys Tel is proving to be a useful player for Bayern Munich when he’s managed to get onto the pitch. And he can be more than useful in Career Mode.
Starting EA FC 24 Career Mode at 74-rated, Tel already has decent stats including 76 Pace, 76 Shooting and 76 Dribbling. That includes 78 Finishing, 84 Shot Power (!) and 77 Ball Control. Tel also boasts 76 Jumping at 6’0″ and he’s four-star in Skill Moves and Weak Foot. Of course, as you’ve already seen, his potential overall. All being well, Tel has the potential to rise to 88 in Career Mode, genuinely becoming one of the best strikers in the game.
He’s valued at a low £8.5m and Bayern will accept around £9m.

Evan Ferguson (Brighton)
Initial EA FC 24 overall: 74
Potential EA FC 24 overall: 86
Value: £8.5m
Our first foray into the Premier League market, Evan Ferguson is one to take a look at.
Catching eyes in the real world, Ferguson starts with an overall rating of 74 which includes 79 Finishing, 74 Sprint Speed and 79 Positioning. He’s also pretty decent in the air with 80 Jumping and 71 Heading Accuracy, standing 6’2″. All of these will only improve (except for his height of course) as Ferguson grows closer to his potential overall of 86.
The Irishman has a value of £8.5m and Brighton do put up a little bit of a fight, though they will still settle for around £9m.
Sergio Camello (Rayo Vallecano)
Initial EA FC 24 overall: 75
Potential EA FC 24 overall: 84
Value: £11m
This one’s slightly more ready made for a certain level, with Sergio Camello an interesting prospect.
In his early 20s, Camello plies his trade in Spain with Rayo Vallecano and has a starting overall of 75. For us, the main selling point here are his Skill Moves and Weak Foot, both four-star, which makes him nimble around the edge of the box. He boasts 77 Finishing and 79 Positioning, 79 Ball Control and 75 Short Passing, while also rating 72 for Heading Accuracy and Jumping to counteract his height at 5’10”. The Spaniard can also grow to 84 overall.
Rayo Vallecano won’t be easy to negotiate with, but you can still get Camello for around £13m.
And this may be the last time he’ll be this cheap, putting his name in lights after his brace to seal gold for Spain at the 2024 Olympics.
Youssoufa Moukoko (Borussia Dortmund)
Initial EA FC 24 overall: 77
Potential EA FC 24 overall: 87
Value: £19m
Squeezing just one extra player in this price point, as the more expensive options aren’t too exciting, and it’s a good one. Ladies and gentlemen, Youssoufa Moukoko.
Starting with a rating of 77, Moukoko will already do a good job at even the low-rated teams in top flights, especially with Finishing of 79 and 80 Pace. Let’s not forget, this is a teenager who has been on the scene for some time, so he’s establishing himself as a well-known name. Moukoko also has 71 Short Passing, 80 Dribbling and 79 Jumping to go with his four-star Skill Moves and Weak Foot. The German also has the potential to grow to 87 overall, meaning he will only get better.
Despite all this, Moukoko is still valued at only £19m and Borussia Dortmund will accept just that, without the need for add-ons.

EA FC 24 best strikers to sign on Career Mode – £20m and above
Elye Wahi (Lens)
Initial EA FC 24 overall: 78
Potential EA FC 24 overall: 84
Value: £19m
Moving over to the French league, if you want a striker with pace to burn, Elye Wahi is your man.
The Frenchman has 87 Pace, 78 Dribbling and four-star Skill Moves to go with his initial overall of 78. Wahi also has four-star Weak Foot, 81 Finishing, 86 Bolleys and 72 Short Passing. He’s on the slightly shorter side at 5’11” — in that he’s not going to be target man — but he’s still got 81 Jumping to ensure he isn’t a pushover in the air. The potential overall of 84 is lower than some names on this list, but it’s still a good level.
Lens know what they’ve got when it comes to Wahi, and you’ll have to fork out around £27m to get the chance to negotiate personal terms.
Rasmus Hojlund (Man Utd)
Initial EA FC 24 overall: 78
Potential EA FC 24 overall: 89
Value: £26.5m
Of course, there are the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland, but not only are they obvious and boring, you’ll also likely have to fork out £150m+ to be close to signing them. But there are still a few good premium options, including Rasmus Hojlund.
The Dane joined Man Utd in the real world for a lot of money, signed for his potential rather than his current ability, which translates to 78 in EA FC 24. He has 85 Pace, 76 Shooting and 82 Physical including 88 Jumping, 85 Strength and 78 Finishing. He’s three-star for Skill Moves and Weak Foot, which you can improve as you train him to reach his 89 potential overall.
Despite his high transfer price in real life, Hojlund is valued at £26.5m on Career Mode and Man Utd will accept around £35m with a sell-on clause. Not that you’re going to sell him.
