EA FC 25: Best strikers to sign on Career Mode for every budget
It’s that time of year again! EA Sports FC 25 is here.
The game has been out for a month now, with the first season recently coming to a close. Players are starting to get to grips with the game, whether that be Ultimate Team, Clubs or Career Mode.
We’re here for the latter. Manager Career — as it’s officially called now — has had a revamp this year, including the introduction of Women’s Football. But the premise and aim remains the same. Winning the league and potentially the Champions League.

They say defences win you titles, but playing Vindaloo football can be just as fun on EA FC 25. For the uninitiated, that’s “we’re gonna score one more than you”. You could have the best players in the world across the pitch, but it all counts for nothing if you don’t have a leading forward capable of taking their chances.
At the same time, a poor team can be saved by a good striker. But who do you go for on EA FC 25? We’ve taken a look at some of the top strikers available to buy in your first window, across an array of transfer fees to make your job a tad easier.
We’re just looking at players available in Men’s Career Mode here, with finances in Women’s Career Mode much different.
Values and presence of release clauses may vary per save, while availability may vary depending on strictness of transfers.
EA FC 25 best strikers to sign on Career Mode – Under £5m
Mustafa Erhan Hekimoglu (Besiktas)
Initial EA FC 25 overall: 62
Potential EA FC 25 overall: 86
Value: £1.2m
We may have found a gem straight off the bat in Turkey, in the form of Besiktas’ Mustafa Erhan Hekimoglu.
You may be put off by low starting overall of 62, but these low-priced players are all about the journey. Hekimoglu is only 17 at the start of your Manager Career, but is 6’1″ and boasts 64 Pace. His Finishing is already 67, with 63 Agility and 64 Ball Control. You can train up the other aspects of his game as he grows towards his potential of 86.
The Turkish teenager has an initial value of £1.2m, but Besiktas will accept around £1m if you include a low sell-on.
Orri Oskarsson (Real Sociedad)
Initial EA FC 25 overall: 69
Potential EA FC 25 overall: 84
Value: £2.8m
Orri Oskarsson is slightly more ready-made for lower league teams, so he does close a little bit extra at the start.
The Icelandic striker starts Manager Career aged 19 with an overall of 69. He’s already decent in the air with 74 Jumping and 62 Heading Accuracy to go alongside his height of 6’2″. And he’s got good feet for a big man too, with 67 Dribbling and 70 Pace. Oskarsson is very much an old-fashioned centre forward, not one you’ll want drifting out to the wing. The ceiling is a little lower, but 84 is still a decent overall to reach for a certain level of clubs. And we try to cater for as many clubs as we can.
Oskarsson has an initial value of £2.8m and you will have to pay around that, getting slightly lower with a sell-on fee.
Semih Kilicsoy (Besiktas)
Initial EA FC 25 overall: 72
Potential EA FC 25 overall: 88
Value: £4.6m
There’s clearly something in the water at Besiktas. Semih Kilicsoy is another wonderful player you’ll want to cast your eyes on.
Kilicsoy does start out as a LW in the game but he has striker as an additional position and can be converted easily. He starts with an overall of 72, boasting three-star Skill Moves and four-star Weak Foot. Kilicsoy has 78 Pace and 74 Shooting, including 77 Finishing at the age of 18. But the main selling point is that these attributes will only get better as he nears his potential overall of 88.
Despite the high potential, Kilicsoy is only valued at £4.6m and Besiktas will accept around £4.3m with a sell-on fee.

EA FC 25 best strikers to sign on Career Mode – £5m – £20m
Karim Konate (Red Bull Salzburg)
Initial EA FC 25 overall: 73
Potential EA FC 25 overall: 87
Value: £6.5m
The latest man from the Red Bull Salzburg production line, Karim Konate is an interesting young striker.
The 20-year-old has good Pace from the off at 86, and he’s also a decent dribbling with 76 Dribbling including 74 Ball Control. Konate is also strong in the air, boasting 86 Jumping and 77 Heading Accuracy. His 70 Shooting may be a bit look, but that’s lowered by his Volleys (51) and Penalties (60). Of course, you’ll improve all that anyway as he reaches his potential of 87.
Konate is valued at £6.5m but you can get him for as low as £6m with a sell-on fee.
Evan Ferguson (Brighton)
Initial EA FC 25 overall: 73
Potential EA FC 25 overall: 86
Value: £6m
A familiar name, Evan Ferguson is probably on a lot of managers’ shortlists at the start of Career Mode.
The Irishman has an initial overall of 74. It may not be enough for the highest level, but it makes Ferguson a good signing for second-tier clubs. His Pace is a respectable 72, but we love his Shooting of 76 and Dribbling at 71. Ferguson can be cute on the ball before hitting a strike with 77 Finishing and 75 Shot Power. You will want to work on his Pace, as he grows to reach his potential rating of 86.
Ferguson is valued at £6m and Brighton do want a little more, although you can still get him for under £7m.
Samu (Porto)
Initial EA FC 25 overall: 75
Potential EA FC 25 overall: 84
Value: £10.5m
It probably won’t be long before Samu shoots up in price in real life. The Porto man is having a wonderful season so far.
Samu is still only 20 but now has a starting overall of 75, already enjoying a little boost since the start of EA FC 25. That comes with Shooting of 74 and 72 Pace, which is a decent baseline. He has Target Forward+ as one of his player roles, so you’ll want to keep that in mind. That will bring in his 88 Jumping and 85 Strength, with a potential overall of 84.
Samu is already fairly costly, with Porto wanting around £15m to pry him away.
EA FC 25 best strikers to sign on Career Mode – £20m and above
Mathys Tel (Bayern Munich)
Initial EA FC 25 overall: 77
Potential EA FC 25 overall: 88
Value: £18.5m
For these picks, we’re not going to waste your time with Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe. You’ll still know a couple of names, but you might not think they’re as cheap as they are. The first is Mathys Tel.
Tel is a name you’ll know, but he’s not getting much of a look in at Bayern Munich with Harry Kane. So why don’t you rescue him? He has a decent enough starting overall of 77, which includes 88 Shot Power and 80 Finishing. Of course, you’ll also like his 86 Pace and 78 Dribbling, alongside four-star Skill Moves and four-star Weak Foot. Tel has the potential to grow to 88 overall, becoming one of the top strikers in the game.
He’s valued at £18.5m but Bayern Munich will only let Tel go for around £22m.
Marcos Leonardo (Al Hilal)
Initial EA FC 25 overall: 77
Potential EA FC 25 overall: 85
Value: £20.5m
Marcos Leonardo is an interesting choice.
The Brazilian plies his trade with Al Hilal in the Saudi Pro League and has an initial overall of 77. That includes 77 Shooting, 76 Pace and 75 Dribbling, all at the age of 21. His Finishing of 83 is particularly enticing, especially when combined with his four-star weak foot. Marcos Leonardo has the potential to go up to 85 overall, which will make his attributes better.
Valued at £20.5m, Al Hilal will want around £25.9m for Marcos Leonardo.
Endrick (Real Madrid)
Initial EA FC 25 overall: 77
Potential EA FC 25 overall: 91
Value: £20.5m
You might think, ‘we’ll obviously’, but would you really think Endrick is affordable?
Endrick starts EA FC 25 Career Mode aged 17, 77-rated with four-star Skill Moves and three-star Weak Foot. He has 89 Pace, 76 Finishing and 78 Dribbling. Despite being 5’8″, Endrick also has 85 Jumping and 70 Heading Accuracy. You won’t be putting crosses into the box all the time for him, but it’s a nice Plan B to have. Think Brazilian Tim Cahill. And then, just look at that potential rating of 91! Only Kylian Mbappe (94) and Erling Haaland (93) have higher potential overalls among strikers.
Despite his potential, Endrick has an initial value of £20.5m and Real Madrid will accept around £30m for the Braziian. Which feels like daylight robbery, so do it and run before they realise their mistake.
