Gameweek 25 of the 2025-26 Premier League season featured milestones, injury-time winners, VAR controversy, and a 25-minute hat-trick all jammed into 10 matches.
Here’s our latest round-up of the stats and records you may have missed.
Stats you might have missed
Under the lights at Elland Road
- Leeds have won all five night-time Premier League matches at Elland Road this season.
Leeds claimed a valuable 3-1 win at home to relegation rivals Nottingham Forest thanks to goals from Jayden Bogle, Noah Okafor, and that man Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has now hit double figures for the season.
Under the lights at Elland Road is proving to be quite the fortress for Leeds, who have now won all five night-time matches on home soil this season – 7.30pm and later – while they extended their run of scoring in every top-flight home match they’ve played against Forest (now 26 games).
Another Bruno milestone
- Bruno Fernandes became the second quickest Manchester United player to reach 200 goal involvements in the Premier League era.
Bruno Fernandes sealed Manchester United’s 2-0 victory over Tottenham to make it four wins from four games under interim boss Michael Carrick.
The goal marked another landmark for Fernandes, who became the second-fastest United player in the Premier League era to reach 200 goal involvements. He hit the milestone in 314 appearances, doing so quicker than club icons Cristiano Ronaldo (339 games) and David Beckham (393). In fact, only Wayne Rooney reached the 200 mark faster, achieving the feat in 295 games.
The game also saw Spurs skipper Cristian Romero sent off for the fourth time in the Premier League, more times than any player in the competition since the start of 2021-22.

Pulsating Palmer
- Cole Palmer became the first player in Premier League history to score three first-half hat-tricks.
Chelsea continued their superb form under Liam Rosenior, who claimed his fourth straight Premier League win after the Blues thrashed Wolves 3-1 at Molineux.
The match was effectively over at the break following a stunning first-half hat-trick from Cole Palmer, who made Premier League history by becoming the first player to score three hat-tricks before the break.
In doing so, Palmer moved clear as Chelsea’s most prolific hat-trick scorer in the competition with four on the board.

Double Delight for Gyokeres
- Viktor Gyokeres has now been directly involved in more goals than any other Premier League player across all competitions in 2026.
Arsenal claimed a 3-0 win at home to Sunderland to extend their unbeaten run to 44 home games against promoted clubs, which is the longest run of its kind in Premier League history.
Viktor Gyokeres bagged a brace during the win, meaning he’s now been directly involved in more goals (8) in all competitions than any other Premier League player in 2026.
The striker may have come in for criticism since his summer switch from Sporting CP, but after a difficult start to his Arsenal career, he’s now started to find his feet in North London.

Five star Summerville
- Crysencio Summerville became the first West Ham player to score in five consecutive games since Jesse Lingard in 2021.
West Ham bounced back from their painful 3-2 defeat to Chelsea with a crucial 2-0 win away to relegation rivals Burnley, cutting the gap from themselves to safety to just three points.
Crysencio Summerville got the Hammers off to the perfect start, netting in the 13th minute to become the first West Ham player since Jesse Lingard in 2021 to score in five consecutive matches in all competitions. That early strike also marked the ninth time this season West Ham have found the back of the net inside the opening 15 minutes – the most of any team in the league.
Burnley’s struggles, meanwhile, continue to deepen, with the Clarets now winless in 16 matches and 11 points adrift of safety.

Rogers rampant
- Morgan Rogers has already equalled his Premier League goal tally from last season.
Bournemouth and Aston Villa played out a 1-1 draw on the south coast after Rayan cancelled out Morgan Rogers’s opener.
Rogers’ goal took him to eight for the season, matching his total from last term. With 13 games still to play, he now has the chance to score once more to make 2025-26 his most prolific league campaign to date.
Everton roaring on the road
- Only Arsenal have won more Premier League away games than Everton this season.
Everton stunned Fulham with two goals in the final 15 minutes to snatch the spoils at Craven Cottage. The win fired the Toffees up to 8th, just two points and two places behind rivals Liverpool in 6th.
It also extended the club’s away tally to six wins in 13 games, with only leaders Arsenal claiming more wins on the road so far this season.
Janelt extends Bees scoring streak
- Vitaly Janelt is the only Brentford player to score in each of their five Premier League seasons.
Brentford won away to Newcastle for the first time in 92 years – dating back to 1934! – as they completed the league double over the Toon thanks to a 3-2 victory at St James’ Park.
Vitaly Janelt scored Brentford’s first and, in the process, extended his unique record of scoring in every one of the club’s five Premier League seasons.

Brighton off the ball
- Only Wolves and Burnley have picked up fewer points than Brighton since the start of December.
Brighton’s winless run was extended to five games after they slumped to a 1-0 defeat at home to Crystal Palace, who themselves claimed their first win in 13 games in all competitions.
Brighton, who have now failed to score in the opening 45 minutes of eight of their last 11 Premier League games, have picked up just nine points since the start of December, behind only Wolves (6) and Burnley (5).
The Haaland show
- Erling Haaland has now scored away from home against every club he has played multiple times against in the Premier League.
Manchester City’s last-gasp 2-1 win away to Liverpool concluded the gameweek in dramatic fashion. City went a goal down in the 74th minute but admirably fought back with two late goals – and even scored a third, but it was controversially ruled out by VAR – to keep the title race alive.
It was just City’s second win in their last 23 league visits to Anfield and, remarkably, their first league double over the Reds since 1936-37. Erling Haaland – who else – grabbed the winner via the spot, meaning he’s now scored away from home against every side he has played multiple times against in the Premier League.
Liverpool have now conceded four injury-time winners this season, which is the joint-highest total in Premier League history.
