‘Severe weather’ delays in Mexico have delayed kick-off time for the match by at least one hour.
The match, which was supposed to kick-off at 7pm local time and 1am in the UK, has been the subject of much discussion over the last 48 hours.
Discussions were held over the weekend around the possibility of moving kick-off to earlier in the afternoon. That would’ve meant a 7pm kick-off for England supporters watching back home.
However, the decision was taken to keep the game in it’s original time slot. Now the fears over potential weather delays have been realised due to severe weather in the areas closest to the stadium.
