Squawka’s World Cup AI Predictor: AI score predictions for every game at the 2026 World Cup

Using data from previous tournaments and qualifying, we’ve tasked our model with creating some World Cup AI predictions with correct score picks on every match at this summer’s tournament.

Our AI predictor combines data from qualifying matches, previous World Cups, bookmakers and more to determine the most likely correct score outcome from the game.

As the tournament progresses, the model will focus more heavily on the games that have already taken place within the tournament and it will look beyond results to input shot, possession and general match momentum data to see where value may lie.

USA vs Australia

This is not one I would force toward the host side, because Australia’s recent sample is stronger and more stable. The United States have useful upside, shown by the 4-1 win over Paraguay and 4-0 win over Panama, but their five-match sample is uneven at 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats, with 1.20 goals conceded per match. That makes a clean home win feel a little too optimistic.

Australia arrive unbeaten across eight recent matches at 5 wins and 3 draws, averaging 1.88 goals scored and only 0.62 conceded, with wins over Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Japan. The catch is that travelling into a U.S. venue should still lift the American pressure and chance volume. Australia look solid enough to avoid defeat, but the USA have enough attacking pace and home energy to answer. 1-1 is the most balanced score.

AI prediction: USA 1-1 Australia

Scotland vs Morocco

Scotland’s form is good enough to make this uncomfortable, especially after a 1-0 win over Haiti and a 4-2 win over Denmark. Their eight-match sample reads 5 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats, with 1.75 goals scored per match, so they are not short of competitive edge. The concern is that they also concede around 1.00 per match, and this opponent is far less open than Haiti.

Morocco’s defensive profile is the strongest angle in the game. They are unbeaten in the sample at 4 wins and 4 draws, conceding just 0.25 goals per match with six clean sheets, including 0-0 draws against Senegal and Nigeria and a 1-1 draw with Brazil. That record makes me lean away from a Scotland goal. It should be tight, probably decided by one clear chance or set-piece moment, but Morocco’s control and tournament maturity point to 0-1.

AI prediction: Scotland 0-1 Morocco

Brazil vs Haiti

Brazil have not been explosive in the recent sample, but they still look like the clear side to trust here. Their five-match run is unbeaten at 2 wins and 3 draws, with only 0.40 goals conceded per match and three clean sheets. The 3-0 win over Chile shows the ceiling is there, even if draws with Morocco, Bolivia and Colombia suggest they have not been routinely blowing teams away.

Haiti deserve respect for their Concacaf results, especially clean-sheet wins over Nicaragua and Costa Rica, but the jump in class is severe. Their sample is 3 wins, 2 draws and 3 defeats, with three scoring blanks and 1.50 goals conceded per match. The recent 0-1 loss to Scotland suggests they can stay compact, but Brazil should eventually have too much territory and technical quality. I prefer 2-0 over 3-0 because Brazil’s own scoring rhythm has been controlled.

AI prediction: Brazil 2-0 Haiti

Turkey vs Paraguay

Turkey’s profile is volatile, but it still gives them the stronger attacking case. Their eight-match sample is 5 wins, 1 draw and 2 defeats, averaging 2.00 goals scored, with standout results like 4-1 against Georgia and a 2-2 draw away to Spain. The concern is the other side of that same profile: 1.50 goals conceded per match and a recent 2-0 loss to Australia.

Paraguay have enough threat to make a clean Turkey win risky, but their recent defensive numbers are not convincing. They are 2 wins and 3 defeats in the five-match sample, conceding 1.60 per match, and the 4-1 loss to the United States is a clear warning sign. A narrow Paraguay upset is not impossible if Turkey overextend, but the better read is Turkey’s attacking quality edging a game where both teams get chances. 2-1 Turkey is the lean.
