James Maddison 3+ Fouls Won (6/4 with Betfair)
Due to the heavy schedule, James Maddison was rested against Ipswich along with several high-profile Tottenham players. The midfielder should be back in the starting XI against City and has drawn at least four fouls in all of his last four meetings with Pep Guardiola’s side. Maddison is currently on a run of 34 consecutive home league starts in which he has been fouled at least once.
Son Heung-min Anytime Assist (9/2 with BoyleSports)
There has been an average of four goals per game across the last six meetings between Tottenham and Manchester City and another high-scoring contest looks likely here, with both teams having issues in defence.
Son Heung-min has provided nine assists for Tottenham in the Premier League this season, including two for Brennan Johnson in their 4-1 win against Ipswich last time out. At a best price of 9/2 with BoyleSports he can turn provider in the capital on Wednesday.
How both teams go into Tottenham vs Man City
Describing Tottenham’s season as topsy-turvy and inconsistent would be an understatement. Injuries have riddled their campaign, but Ange Postecoglou’s side have won back-to-back top-flight matches. The first of those was a 1-0 home win over Manchester United, before a 4-1 victory on the road at Ipswich on Saturday. Those six points leave Spurs 12th in the table, nine behind Aston Villa in eighth.
The once-dominant four-time Premier League champions, Manchester City, have not fully recovered and currently sit in fourth place, far from the championship race. Their focus is now on securing a spot in next season’s Champions League. In their last match against Liverpool, they were comfortably beaten 2-0 on home soil as the Reds took a giant step towards the title. In the reverse fixture, Tottenham defeated them 4-0, which was part of a four-game losing streak that ultimately derailed their historic attempt to win a fifth consecutive English championship.
Tottenham team news
Radu Drăgușin will not be available for Tottenham until December 2025. Meanwhile, Dominic Solanke, Micky van de Ven, Richarlison, and Cristian Romero are expected to return in about a month. Timo Werner could potentially be available; however, Ben Davies faces a late fitness test.
Man City team news
Manuel Akanji is out until April with a thigh injury, while Rodri is City’s other long-term absentee. John Stones will miss out, while the fitness of Erling Haaland remains uncertain after missing the last two matches.
Tottenham vs Man City head-to-head
Tottenham are aiming for their third consecutive win over Manchester City in all competitions, a feat they last achieved between September 2015 and October 2016. They have already defeated City in both the League Cup and Premier League this season. Tottenham have already triumphed over City’s neighbours, Manchester United, on three occasions this season.
