Wolves vs Fulham: predictions, stats, tips & odds

Wolves are already down, but will be looking to give their fans something to cheer about as they take on Fulham in the Premier League on Sunday. The visitors still have slim hopes of qualifying for Europe and may have the edge against a side that have won just three matches all season. Kick-off is at 3:00pm and below you can find our match preview and best bets.

Best Bets & Predictions

Our PredictionOdds & BookmakerConfidenceWhy I’m Backing It
Fulham to Win10/11 @ Bet365
(52.4%)
⭐⭐⭐⭐Fulham still have an outside chance of securing European football and Marco Silva’s side will view Sunday’s trip as a strong opportunity to collect another important three points. The Cottagers have struggled for consistency away from home at times this season, but they remain the more motivated side heading into the contest. With Wolves already relegated and playing purely for pride, Fulham should fancy their chances of taking control of the game, especially given the greater attacking quality available to Silva. If the visitors perform close to their best level, they ought to have enough to overcome the division’s bottom club.
Harry Wilson to Assist Anytime13/2 @ Unibet
(13.3%)
⭐⭐⭐Harry Wilson was on the scoresheet when these two teams met at Craven Cottage in the reverse fixture back in November. The scoreline was 3-0 to Fulham that day and another similar scoreline would not be a surprise here. The Welshman is Fulham’s top scorer this season with 10 goals to his name and I’m backing him to open the scoring on Sunday at 13/2 with Unibet.

How both teams go into Wolves vs Fulham

Wolves have struggled badly since their surprise win over Liverpool in March and are now without a victory in seven matches across all competitions. Wolves were comfortably beaten 3-0 by Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend and failed to score for the 19th time in the Premier League this season.

Rob Edwards’s side remain bottom of the table and their relegation to the Championship is now inevitable after a difficult campaign. Wolves have suffered 24 league defeats this season, their highest total in a 38-game Premier League campaign, although all three of their league wins have come at Molineux. They are still without a home victory in their last three matches heading into Sunday’s clash.

Fulham’s push for European football has lost momentum in recent weeks after just one win from their last five Premier League matches. Marco Silva’s side were beaten 1-0 by Bournemouth at Craven Cottage last time out, with Rayan’s second-half goal dealing another major blow to their hopes of a top-seven finish.

The Cottagers have scored only once across their last five league games and now sit five points behind seventh-placed Brighton and Hove Albion with two matches remaining. Fulham still need a victory at Molineux to keep their slim European hopes alive, although their away form has been disappointing this season, with only 16 Premier League points and 16 goals collected on the road.

Wolves team news

Wolves are facing uncertainty in goal ahead of Sunday’s clash, with first-choice goalkeeper Jose Sa a doubt after missing recent action. Daniel Bentley is on standby to continue in net, having conceded seven goals across his three Premier League appearances this season, while Sam Johnstone remains unavailable due to a shoulder injury.

Fulham team news

Fulham will be without Joachim Andersen after his dismissal in the defeat to Bournemouth last weekend, meaning he is set for a spell on the sidelines. Issa Diop is expected to come into the starting XI having not started a Premier League match since March 4, while Ryan Sessegnon and Alex Iwobi are both doubts due to muscle problems ahead of Sunday’s trip to Molineux.

Recent Meetings

Fulham have had the better of it lately — 3-0 at home this season, and two wins in the last three. Goals aren’t usually a problem when these two meet, with an average of 2.8 per match across 15 meetings.

Can Fulham Exploit Wolves’ Defensive Collapse? Final Thoughts

Wolves have won just three matches all season and with the visitors still having the chance of qualifying for Europe, motivation could be a factor here. As a result, I’m on Fulham at 10/11 with Bet365 and Harry Wilson to open the scoring at 13/2.
