Two of Europe’s attacking juggernauts collide on Tuesday as PSG host Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League semi-final. Kick-off is set for 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the Parc des Princes and below you can find our full match preview and best bets for the occasion.

Best Bets & Predictions

Our PredictionOdds & BookmakerConfidenceWhy We’re Backing It
Bayern Munich to score 2+ goals17/20 @ Bet365
(54.1%)
⭐⭐⭐⭐Bayern have scored a remarkable 3.2 goals per game in the Champions League this season. They scored four and two in their matches against Real Madrid, while PSG have been far from watertight at home in Europe this term. The Parisiens, have conceded twice to Chelsea, three times to Spurs and have just two clean sheets in seven in home matches.
Bayern Munich to Win13/2 @ Bet365
(36.4%)
⭐⭐⭐Bayern matches in Europe this season are averaging over four goals per game. They have bagged 5+ goals in four matches, with Harry Kane often leading the charge. Kane has 33 league goals this season and a further 12 in the Champions League. With nine braces in the Bundesliga and four this term in Europe, I think 13/2 for another looks too big in what could be a barnstorming contest.

How both teams go into PSG vs Bayern Munich

PSG have not quite been as dominant domestically this season, with a few bumps in their Ligue 1 title defence, but in Europe they are hitting top gear at the right time. Luis Enrique’s side have won four straight Champions League games, beating Chelsea and Liverpool along the way and scoring 12 goals to reach the semi finals for a third consecutive year, a first for any French club.

They are now chasing more history, closing in on 100 Champions League wins, while also sitting six points clear at the top of Ligue 1 with four games left. A rotated side did slip up against Lyon, but normal service has resumed with back to back 3 0 wins, leaving PSG in control at home while continuing their push for European glory

Bayern Munich wrapped up another Bundesliga title with a 4 2 win over Stuttgart, but the celebrations were low key, a sign of how routine domestic success has become. The focus is now firmly on Europe, where they have fallen short in recent years, failing to win the Champions League since 2020 and struggling in the latter stages.

That said, form is strong. Bayern have won seven straight Champions League games, including a thrilling quarter final win over Real Madrid, and are on a nine match winning run in all competitions. They have also beaten PSG recently and hold a strong record in this fixture, but past semi final struggles still hang over them.

PSG team news

PSG look set to welcome back a couple of key players for this one, with Desire Doue and Nuno Mendes expected to be available after recent injury scares. There is still some concern over Vitinha, who has been dealing with a heel issue and has not fully returned to full training yet. In better news, Fabian Ruiz is back after a long layoff and is pushing to start after getting valuable minutes under his belt last time out.

Bayern Munich team news

Bayern will be without Vincent Kompany on the touchline after he picked up a suspension, a blow heading into such a big European night. On the pitch, Serge Gnabry, Tom Bischof and Sven Ulreich are all ruled out, while Lennart Karl is close to a return but still not guaranteed to feature. There are positives though, with Joshua Kimmich and Dayot Upamecano set to come back into the side, and Harry Kane arriving in top form after another goal at the weekend.

Final thoughts

Expect fireworks on Tuesday evening with two of the best footballing teams on the planet facing off. A plethora of attacking talent will be on display and we expect plenty of goals in this first leg. When it comes to the betting, we like the look of Bayern to score 2+ goals at 17/20, while punters looking for something bigger should take the 13/2 for Kane to bag a brace in Paris.
