Our PredictionOdds & BookmakerConfidenceWhy I’m Backing It
Leeds to Win to Nil13/8 @ Bet365
(38.1%)
⭐⭐⭐⭐Wolves have failed to score in 15 of 32 games (47%) and average just 0.75 goals per game. Leeds aren’t watertight, but Wolves’ attack is the worst in the league. 13/8 implies 38%; with Wolves’ scoring woes, I make it closer to 45%.
Noah Okafor Anytime Scorer13/5 @ Bet365
(27.8%)
⭐⭐⭐Okafor has 6 goals in 26 matches and is getting decent minutes. Wolves concede 1.81 per game. 13/5 (27.8% implied) is a touch big for a Leeds attacker against this defence. Subject to team news.

How both teams go into Leeds vs Wolves

Leeds boosted their survival hopes with a standout 2-1 win at Old Trafford, their first top flight victory there in 45 years, as Noah Okafor struck twice to seal the result. It ended a six game winless run and lifted Daniel Farke’s side further clear of the bottom three, with confidence growing at a crucial stage of the season.

They now return to Elland Road looking to build momentum, although consistency has been an issue with Leeds still searching for back to back wins this campaign. Recent results against Wolves offer encouragement, but home form remains a concern after failing to score in four of their last five league matches in front of their own fans.

Wolves head into this weekend rooted to the bottom of the Premier League and now on the brink of relegation after a long spell at the foot of the table since late August. A defeat at Leeds could confirm the drop depending on results elsewhere, with their situation worsening after a heavy 4-0 loss to West Ham last time out.

Despite recent improvement under Rob Edwards, who has picked up most of their points since taking charge, Wolves’ season has been defined by a lack of goals and consistency. They have struggled in front of goal throughout the campaign but will take some comfort from a strong recent scoring record against Leeds and a relatively decent run of results at Elland Road in past visits.

Leeds team news

Leeds could welcome back Daniel James, Joe Rodon and Anton Stach if they pass late fitness tests, having all missed the win over Manchester United through injury. Gabriel Gudmundsson is set to keep his place after playing 90 minutes at Old Trafford, with Jayden Bogle on the opposite flank and James Justin, Jaka Bijol and Pascal Struijk expected to continue in the back three.

In attack, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is still searching for form after a goalless run in the league, but is likely to lead the line alongside in form Noah Okafor, who has scored four goals in his last four Premier League appearances.

Wolves team news

Wolves remain without Sam Johnstone through a shoulder injury, while Matt Doherty is a doubt and Yerson Mosquera begins a two match suspension after reaching 10 yellow cards. Toti Gomes could return to the starting XI in defence alongside Ladislav Krejci and Santiago Bueno, with Rob Edwards also considering Mateus Mane for a more advanced midfield role, although Jean Ricner Bellegarde is another option in support of Joao Gomes, Andre and Angel Gomes.

Can Leeds Exploit Wolves’ Defensive Collapse? Final Thoughts

Wolves are in freefall — 21 defeats, 58 conceded, and the xG numbers say it’s not just bad luck. Leeds haven’t set the world alight, but they’ve got enough about them, especially at home, to see off a side that’s been hopeless on the road. The value is with Leeds to win to nil at 13/8 with Bet365, and I’ll have a nibble on Noah Okafor anytime scorer at 13/5 if he starts. Wolves just don’t score enough to worry me.
