Best Bets & Predictions

Our PredictionOdds & BookmakerConfidenceWhy I’m Backing It
Man Utd Draw No Bet5/4 @ Bet365
(44.4%)
⭐⭐⭐⭐United average 1.78 points per game, Chelsea just 1.5. United have the better attack (57 goals, 1.78/game) and have lost fewer matches. Chelsea’s seven reds and 2.34 cards per game make them a liability in tight matches. Michael Carrick will be looking for a response after the poor showing against Leeds and the visitors are worth a punt in the draw no bet market here. 50%.
Bruno Fernandes Anytime Assist5/2 @ Bet365
(28.6%)
⭐⭐⭐Bruno has 17 assists in 29 games, that’s 0.59 per 90. United create 1.97 big chances per game and Chelsea have shipped 41 goals. The implied odds are 28.6%, but Bruno’s actual assist rate suggests value closer to 35%. Fernandes is aiming to break the assist record and it would be no surprise to see him add to his tally at Stamford Bridge.

How both teams go into Chelsea vs Man Utd

Liam Rosenior’s Chelsea started fast with four straight league wins, but form has collapsed with just one victory in their last seven Premier League matches, leaving them sliding down the table. No side in Europe’s top five leagues has lost more games since the start of March, with Chelsea already beaten six times in nine matches after a strong early-season run.

A 3-0 home defeat to Manchester City underlined the slump, with Champions League qualification now under real threat as they sit closer to Bournemouth below them than Liverpool above. An FA Cup semi-final offers a distraction, but Chelsea must first avoid a fourth straight league defeat, something they have not suffered since 2023, while they can take some confidence from a strong recent home record against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge.

Manchester United’s return from a 24 day break ended in disappointment as they fell 2-1 at home to Leeds United, who secured a historic win at Old Trafford. The visitors controlled the first half and, despite a second half red card swinging momentum, United could not find a way back in front of Sir Jim Ratcliffe watching on.

Still third in the table and level with Aston Villa, United remain in a tight top four race but defeat at Chelsea would drag others right back into contention. Form has dipped with two defeats in their last four league games, while defensive issues persist with just three clean sheets since the turn of the year and only one away from home in their last 21 matches.

Chelsea team news

Chelsea are still dealing with a long injury list, with Levi Colwill, Trevoh Chalobah, Jamie Bynoe Gittens, Filip Jorgensen and Mykhaylo Mudryk all unavailable, while Reece James and Benoit Badiashile are doubts. Enzo Fernandez returns after suspension and will be central to Chelsea’s creativity, with Cole Palmer likely shifting wide as Pedro Neto, Estevao Willian and Alejandro Garnacho compete for places in attack alongside Joao Pedro. At the back, Jorrel Hato is expected to partner Wesley Fofana, with Malo Gusto set to continue if James is not fit.

Man Utd team news

Manchester United are without Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire through suspension, while Matthis de Ligt remains out injured, leaving Ayden Heaven in contention to partner Leny Yoro in defence alongside Luke Shaw and either Diego Dalot or Noussair Mazraoui at full back. Kobbie Mainoo is a doubt, so Manuel Ugarte could join Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes in midfield, while Bryan Mbeumo is pushing for a return in attack after being benched last time out.

Head-to-Head

Recent Meetings

Recent history has been tight — United have the edge overall, but Chelsea have won some big ones at home. The last meeting saw United edge it 2-1 at Old Trafford in September. Goals are usually on the menu in this fixture.

Can United’s Attack Expose Chelsea’s Discipline? Final Thoughts

United’s attack is better, their defence is just as shaky, but Chelsea’s discipline is a real problem. Seven reds and 74 yellows in 32 games is asking for trouble, especially against a side with Fernandes pulling the strings. I’m backing Man Utd Draw No Bet at 5/4 with Bet365 as my main play, and Bruno Fernandes Anytime Assist at 5/2 with Bet365 as the value prop. If Chelsea keep 11 on the pitch, it’ll be close — but I trust United’s attack to find a way.
