Man City vs Feyenoord predicted lineups and team news
Manchester City will look to snap out of their five-match losing streak when they host Feyenoord in their fifth game in the Champions League this season on Tuesday.
Man City vs Feyenoord predicted lineups
Man City (4-2-3-1): Ederson; Walker, Akanji, Gvardiol, Ake; Nunes, Lewis; Foden, De Bruyne, Savinho; Haaland
Feyenoord (4-3-3): Wellenreuther; Nieuwkoop, Trauner, Hancko, Smal; Hwang, Zerrouki, Milambo; Moussa, Carranza, Paixao
Man City’s current losing run includes their most recent Champions League game, a stunning 4-1 loss to Sporting in Lisbon. It’s book-ended by two defeats to Tottenham Hotspur, a 2-1 EFL Cup loss and Saturday’s 4-0 home hammering in the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola will be looking for his beleaguered side to show some spark in this match, not only to get back in the top eight of the Champions League standings, but also to raise spirits going into Sunday’s huge league game against title rivals Liverpool at Anfield.
Man City had earlier beaten Slovan Bratislava 4-0 and Sparta Prague 5-0 in this competition after opening with a goalless game in Manchester against Serie A champions Inter Milan.
Feyenoord are fourth in the Dutch Eredivisie after Saturday’s 3-0 win over Heerenveen but they have had a mixed start in the Champions League.
The Rotterdam-based club have chalked up two impressive away wins at Girona and Benfica, but lost both of their home games to Bayer Levekusen and Red Bull Salzburg.
The match at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester will be shown on Amazon Prime Video at 8pm.
Guardiola won’t be panicked into making changes
Man City manager Pep Guardiola said his squad will rely on the methods that have brought them so much success as they bid to turn their fortunes around.
Speaking on Monday, Guardiola said: “We have to learn from these situations, be calm. It’s not about the results right now, it is about the performance.
“We will prepare for the next game and try to beat them. What should I change? I think in this situation, we have to go direct to our principles, change less more than ever.”
Midfielder Kevin De Bruyne also revealed that he feels much better now after his recent groin injury but it remains to be seen if he will be able to start either of this week’s games after making short substitute appearances in City’s last three games.

“I’m starting to feel better now. It’s been a bit frustrating, but I’m better now so I’m happy about that,” said De Bruyne.
“It was basically abdomen pain that was going around my groin, so I couldn’t really shoot, I’ve been trying to get my power back.
“It’s taken a long time, but on Friday it got better. I can’t explain it. The last few days, it’s been better. I’m hoping that goes upwards.”
Man City vs Feyenoord team news
Man City are still without Rodri, Mateo Kovacic, Ruben Dias and Oscar Bobb, while winger Jeremy Doku is a doubt due to a thigh injury.
Guardiola will have to decide whether to risk midfielder De Bruyne from the start after his groin injury, while Nathan Ake could come into the Man City defence after John Stones went off at half-time against Tottenham.
Feyenoord midfielder Chris-Kevin Nadje is suspended after being sent off against Red Bull Salzburg. Star striker Santiago Gimenez, captain Quinten Timber and goalkeeper Justin Bijlow are all doubtful to be fit to play.
