City seized control of the title race on Sunday with a 2-1 win over current leaders Arsenal. The result means Pep Guardiola’s men trail the Gunners by just three points, with this their precious game in hand.

Man City team news vs Burnley
Sunday was a monumental day for City, but the one major downside was the sight of Rodri coming off near the end with what appears to be a groin injury. Guardiola will surely rest him for the trip to Turf Moor, given the quality he has in reserve, and with an FA Cup semi-final against Southampton to think about at the weekend.
Ruben Dias is closing in on a return from his ankle injury, but is unlikely to feature against Burnley. There is little need to risk him, anyway, with Abdukodir Khusanov and Marc Guehi forming a strong partnership, and Nathan Ake and John Stones held in reserve.
Josko Gvardiol is unlikely to play again this season due to a broken leg, and he’ll be focusing all his recovery efforts on the World Cup this summer.
Elsewhere, Guardiola may look to refresh his attack amid such a demanding schedule, with wingers Jeremy Doku and Antoine Semenyo potentially rested in favour of Savinho and Phil Foden.

Pep Guardiola urging ‘focus’ from Man City stars after Arsenal win
Many were making City title favourites even before Sunday’s clash with Arsenal, so now, it feels inevitable that they’ll see it through.

“People say we have momentum, but when you see them [Arsenal] compete, they are an extraordinary team, otherwise you cannot be all season top of the Premier League and unbeaten in the Champions League.
“I know how difficult it is to beat them once, imagine twice. They stepped a little bit higher in the Carabao Cup final [which City won]. Who is top of the league? We are not. In goal difference, they are better. But of course, we have hopes and still extend the chance to fight until the end.”
