Inter Milan seek to lift their spirits following a heartbreaking end to their 2024-25 season at the Fifa Club World Cup.
The Italian giants finished runners-up in Serie A, one point behind Napoli, before suffering a record-breaking 5-0 loss to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.
Three days after the season ended, Simon Inzaghi upped and left to become the new manager of Al-Hilal, with former Parma boss Cristian Chivu stepping in to take his place at Inter.
The Nerazzurri were not given too long to get over their Munich humiliation, as they contest their second-ever Club World Cup tournament, having won the 2011 edition.
Having also previously lifted the now-defunct Intercontinental Cup twice in the mid-1960s (against Independiente on both occasions), Inter were placed in an intriguing group alongside five-time Confacaf Champions Cup winners Monterrey, three-time Asian champions Urawa Red Diamonds, and South American powerhouse River Plate.
Read on to find out when and where Inter Milan will be in action.

Group E – Matchday One
Date | Fixture | Ground |
---|---|---|
18/06/2025 (2am UK time) | Monterrey 1-1 Inter Milan | Rose Bowl, Pasadena |
Inter Milan suffered a Champions League hangover when they laboured to a 1-1 draw with Monterrey in their opening Club World Cup game. Inter had to come from behind to claim a point, with Lautaro Martinez rescuing the side with his strike just before half time.
Group E – Matchday Two
Date | Fixture | Ground |
---|---|---|
21/06/2025 (8pm UK time) | Inter Milan 2-1 Urawa Red Diamonds | Lumen Field, Seattle |
Inter Milan put in a professional, if not thrilling, performance to overcome Urawa Red Diamonds 2-1. Inter went one goal down early on and it took them until 10 minutes from time to get back on level terms. An injury time winner was enough to give them all three points in an unconvincing performance.
Group E – Matchday Three
Date | Fixture | Ground |
---|---|---|
26/06/2025 (2am UK time) | Inter Milan 2-0 River Plate | Lumen Field, Seattle |
Inter Milan went into their final game against River Plate knowing only a win would guarantee their spot in the last 16. A draw may not have been enough, as they trailed River Plate on goal difference and would have relied on other results going their way. For a while it looked as though Inter would be bowing out. But Francesco Esposito opened the scoring in the 72nd minute, before Alessandro Bastoni sealed the win in injury time. Inter topped the group as a result.
