Premium Tips
Here are our two premium tips for Friday night in Budapest.
| Premium Tip | Odds | Why we’re backing it |
|---|---|---|
| Under 2.5 goals | 3/4 (William Hill) | Neither Hungary nor Georgia has scored in the Nations League yet, with both sides drawing a blank in each of their opening two group games. Georgia’s last five matches have all finished with fewer than three goals, including a 0-0 draw with Ukraine in Ramaz Svanadze’s first game in charge. Hungary are without Barnabas Varga, who has scored eight of their 19 goals since June 2025, and Damir Redzic is also sidelined. Four of Hungary’s last six outings have gone under 2.5 goals, and their two group games against Ukraine and Northern Ireland produced one goal combined. Under 2.5 goals at 3/4 with William Hill is the standout bet. |
| Georgia to win | 5/2 (William Hill) | Hungary have lost three of their last four competitive home matches, going down 3-2 to Portugal, 3-2 to the Republic of Ireland and 1-0 to Ukraine at the Puskas Arena. Marco Rossi’s side have also failed to score in three of their last six games and are missing Barnabas Varga, their top scorer since June 2025. Georgia conceded just once across their opening two group games, and that goal came in the ninth minute of stoppage time. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has scored three times for his country in 2026, and Georgia won the last meeting between the sides 3-1, albeit back in 2001. A clean sheet against Ukraine in Svanadze’s first game makes Georgia a tempting price at 5/2 with William Hill. |

How Hungary go into the game
Marco Rossi’s side have one point from two games after a 1-0 home defeat by Ukraine and a 0-0 draw with Northern Ireland in Belfast. Hungary were relegated from League A last time out and have now lost three of their last four competitive home matches.
Barnabas Varga misses out with a bruise and Damir Redzic has a sprained ankle, while Bendeguz Bolla is a doubt after an ankle problem against Northern Ireland. Dominik Szoboszlai and Milos Kerkez are expected to start, with Daniel Lukacs likely to lead the line.
How Georgia go into the game
Georgia sacked Willy Sagnol after their 1-0 home defeat by Northern Ireland on the opening night, and former under-21 boss Ramaz Svanadze has taken charge. His first game brought a 0-0 draw with Ukraine in Tbilisi, ending a run of five straight competitive defeats.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has scored three goals for Georgia in 2026, all in friendlies, and Georges Mikautadze netted twice in March’s 2-0 win in Lithuania. However, the Crusaders have failed to score in their last two matches, and their last five have all finished under 2.5 goals.

Hungary vs Georgia score prediction
Goals have been hard to come by for both teams, and Hungary’s recent struggles in competitive home games, now compounded by Varga’s absence, give the visitors a real chance of nicking a narrow win. Georgia were solid under their new coach on Monday and look capable of keeping things tight again. Score prediction: Hungary 0-1 Georgia.
