Crystal Palace vs Tottenham: Predicted line-ups and team news for Premier League match
Crystal Palace host London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League at 2pm (UK time) on Sunday, October 27th, at Selhurst Park.
The match will not be broadcast live in the UK, with highlights available on Match of the Day 2 on BBC2 at 10:30pm.
A vital London derby
Crystal Palace desperately need points, but face a tough test on Sunday when they host a London derby against a Tottenham side enjoying a strong run of form.
The Eagles have yet to win any of their eight games in the Premier League this season, leaving them mired in the relegation zone with just three points from a possible 24.
On Monday night, they suffered another disappointment as they lost 1-0 at Nottingham Forest, with a mistake from goalkeeper Dean Henderson allowing Chris Wood’s hopeful long-range strike to squirm into the Palace net.
Eberechi Eze and Eddie Nketiah had both hit the woodwork in the match, as Oliver Glasner’s 18th-placed side continue to struggle to replicate the form they showed when the Austrian was appointed last season.
Spurs were in action in the Europa League on Thursday night, with a much-changed team beating AZ Alkmaar 1-0 at home to maintain their perfect record and move up to second in the table.
The Lilywhites have now won seven of their last eight games across all competitions, though their inconsistency away from home has restricted their progress in the Premier League, where they are currently in seventh position.
Ange Postecoglou’s team have only won one of their four away days in the English top-flight, dropping points against Newcastle in a match that they dominated and in games against Leicester and Brighton, in which they were ahead.
In that sense, Tottenham have just a big need of points and to prove themselves as Crystal Palace, setting up a fascinating derby match on Sunday, with much at stake.

Crystal Palace vs Tottenham team news
Crystal Palace are likely to be without the injured Chadi Riad, Chris Richards and Matheus Franca for the visit of Spurs.
Midfielder Cheick Doucoure is closing in on a return after being sidelined with a toe injury, while on-loan goalkeeper Matt Turner should be back on the bench for the Eagles, having been unable to face his parent club Forest.
Tottenham were able to rest several players during their win over AZ, which saw Richarlison return to the starting line-up and convert the decisive penalty.
Wilson Odobert also made an appearance from the substitute’s bench after injury, swelling Postecoglou’s options, with full-back Djed Spence now the only confirmed unavailable player, due to his groin issue.
James Maddison was replaced at half-time by Pape Matar Sarr in the 4-1 win over West Ham and the Spurs manager may opt for the industry of the Senegal international from the start, for another competitive derby.
The availability of Son Heung-min is in question after he felt discomfort following his return to action against West Ham last weekend.
