The 2024-25 football season is over, so fans may have more time to sink their teeth into EA Sports FC 25.
Ultimate Team is, of course, the main draw for the game and where EA Sports put a lot of their focus. Clubs is also very popular, particularly with the introduction of Rush.
But there are still a lot of players who spend their time in the offline modes. Whether that’s Manager Career or simply Kick Off against your mates or siblings, there’s a time for regular realistic football. Of course, there are also Online Friendlies.

For these matches, there are so many ways to pick your teams. You can leave it all to chance and randomise the team (three randoms is our ultimate decider). Or you can make things slightly fairer and stick to clubs at a certain level. If you opt for the latter, you’ll want to know about the best teams to use, not getting suckered in my some ratings.
So, assuming you’ve not given yourself any restrictions on ratings, we’ve picked out six 4.5 and 5-star teams you should be playing with on EAFC 25 — plus a little bonus. It’s time to get those bragging rights.
EAFC 25 4.5-star teams
Borussia Dortmund
We’re going to try to avoid the obvious names here, but Borussia Dortmund look very good for a 4.5 star team. And they might not be the obvious choice.

Dortmund are a team that look good to use whether you’re playing a one-off game or a Manager Career. In their default starting XI, Dortmund have five players rated 82 or higher including centre-back Nico Schlotterbeck. Gregor Kobel is one of the better goalkeepers in EAFC 25, while Julian Brandt looks an interesting 82-rated player. Some may be unhappy with the Pace of Serhou Guirassy at 71, but you can make up for that with Karim Adeyemi and Jamie Gittens on the flanks. Depth is a little thin, but they’d also make a good Manager Career project.
Athletic Bilbao
If you’re going for a La Liga team on EAFC 25, there are two obvious options. But Athletic Bilbao could throw a spanner in the works.

Straight away, you’ll probably be put off by the fact that Athletic Bilbao’s starting striker is 71-rated. But you can move the team around a bit, pushing Inaki Williams up front and using one of the wingers on the bench. The other Williams is the star of this team, with Nico Williams boasting four-star Skill Moves and five-star Weak Foot alongside 93 Pace and 86 Dribbling. Athletic also have a decent defence protecting 85-rated Unai Simon’s goal. Again, the bench options are a little thin, but who makes substitutes in matches between mates anyway.
Galatasaray
Sometimes it can be easy to forget about the Turkish teams. You have to scroll pretty far across the nations. But it could be your loss.

Galatasaray are definitely an interesting team on EAFC 25. Naturally, your eyes are immediately drawn to Victor Osimhen. The Nigerian made a move to Turkey late in the summer transfer window and spearheads the Galatasaray attack. He has 91 Pace and 85 Shooting, which is more than good enough for a 4.5 star team. Galatasaray also have Alvaro Morata on the bench and Mauro Icardi in the reserves if you fancy a two-man strike unit. Baris Alper Ylimaz and Yunus Akgun provide speed on the wings for Galatasaray.
EAFC 25 5-star teams
Real Madrid
There are nine 5-star club teams for men’s football in EAFC 25. And Real Madrid are certainly the best.

They’ve been there or there abouts in the past few seasons, but the addition of Kylian Mbappe puts Los Blancos clear. The Frenchman is one of the best players in the game with a ridiculous 97 Pace and 89 Shooting, with 92 Dribbling and five-star Skill Moves. All you need to do is get Mbappe on the ball and you’ll score. Even if you don’t, there’s Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham, both of whom are 90-rated. In fact, seven of Real Madrid’s default starting XI are rated higher than 85. But Ferland Mendy is still one of the best left-backs with his 82 rating. You’ll obviously want to get Eder Militao off the bench and in for Raul Asencio.
Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich are an interesting team in EAFC 25, well worth a look for your 5-star choice.

They aren’t as filled with star power as Real Madrid, but some of their players are more than enough. Even if you don’t like his 65 Pace, Harry Kane’s Shooting is 93 and he will finish your chances. Playing just behind him in the default tactics is Jamal Musiala, who has enjoyed another upgrade. The German is now 88-rated with five-star Skill Moves and 90 Dribbling. With Technical Dribbling as a PlayStyle+, Musiala is so hard to get off the ball if you know what you’re doing. Then they’ve even got the likes of Leon Goretzka, Raphael Guerreiro, Leroy Sane and Joao Palinha either on the bench or in the reserves. There are a lot of options.
Man City
It’s a boring pick, but you cannot avoid Manchester City. They complete the 5-star club teams that really feel like they are worthy of the rating.

Once you get Rodri and Erling Haaland back out of the reserves, Man City can have two players rated 90 or higher. And they’re two of the best in the game. Rodri has been boosted to a rating of 91, with Haaland now 90-rated (dropping from his initial overall of 91). But Haaland remains a pain to play against. He’s got 88 Pace to go with his 92 Shooting and 88 Physical, proving tough to stop when you throw in his unique animations. If you alter your formation, you can have 89-rated Kevin De Bruyne with five-star Weak Foot playing just behind him. You’ll probably want to bring Nathan Ake, John Stones or Manuel Akanji out of the reserves, and find a way to fit Omar Marmoush and Haaland into the XI. That would leave the likes of Jeremy Doku and Jack Grealish as thrilling wing options in the late game.
Classic XI
We’re giving you a bonus pick, because the Classic XI is back!

While the Soccer Aid team has been good, it’s no Classic XI. The iconic team has an attacking overall of 92, with their midfield also 92 and defence at 91. The default XI is a joke, with the returning Diego Maradona leading the line at 95-rated. He’s alongside 92-rated Gerd Muller with 95-rated Pele behind them. Maradona has Pace, Shooting, Passing and Dribbling all above 90. If you don’t like the idea of Bobby Charlton as the deepest midfielder, just pluck Lothar Matthaus out from the reserves. The reserves are as insane as the XI, with the likes of Ruud Gullit, Jairzinho and Abedi Pele all not getting into the default matchday squad. There’s so much choice it might actually be a hindrance!
