Arsenal v Sporting CP live stream: Watch Europa League online, team news & stats

Arsenal v Sporting CP takes place on Thursday at 8pm (UK time).

Last week’s first leg was a thrilling affair and the two sides go into this week’s match on level pegging with an eye on the Europa League quarter-finals. Both sides took the lead and were pegged back in the eventual 2-2 draw, with Sporting perhaps coming out feeling the worst as they conceded the equaliser through an own goal.

But Arsenal have an interesting decision to make, whether to prioritise the Premier League or go for glory both domestically and in Europe. For Sporting CP, the Europa League may be their route back to the Champions League as they currently sit five points outside the Primeira Liga’s final qualification spot.

Arsenal team news

Gabriel Jesus made his long-awaited return from injury at the weekend, coming off the bench to play 13 minutes in the win over Fulham. The Brazilian may not start, as Arsenal look to ease him in, but Jesus should be looking to get more minutes under his belt on Thursday. In his absence from the starting XI, Gabriel Martinelli should continue up front, flanked by Leandro Trossard and Bukayo Saka.

Mohamed Elneny and Eddie Nketiah are out injured.

Sporting CP team news

Manuel Ugarte missed the first leg due to suspension but is back available and will start at the heart of Sporting CP’s midfield. However, Daniel Braganca is still out having suffered an ACL injury in the summer and though he has returned to individual training, the Portuguese star won’t be back for a while.

Braganca is joined on the sidelines by former Arsenal full-back Hector Bellerin, but there is hope that Antonio Adan could recover from a knock which saw him miss the weekend’s game against Boavista.
