Bruno draws level with Ronaldo
Manchester United held off a late Brentford fightback to claim a 2-1 win at Old Trafford, which moved them three points clear of Liverpool and Aston Villa, and opening an 11-point gap to sixth-placed Brighton – they now need just two more points to qualify for next season’s Champions League.
That man Bruno Fernandes was at it again, recording his 19th assist of the season to move just one shy of the all-time Premier League single-season record.
That assist also saw Fernandes draw level with Cristiano Ronaldo for Premier League goal involvements for United, reaching 140 in total with 70 goals and 70 assists.

Arsenal officially the corner kings
- Arsenal have scored the most goals from corners in a single Premier League season (17).
Eberechi Eze popped up with an incredibly important goal in Arsenal’s narrow 1-0 win at home to Newcastle, which fired the Gunners back to the summit and ended their four game domestic losing streak.
The goal underlined Eze’s prowess from distance: since the start of the 2022/23 season, no Premier League player has scored more goals from outside the box. His total of 10 during this period puts him ahead of Bruno Fernandes and Phil Foden (both on nine), as well as Matheus Cunha (8).
The goal also saw Arsenal break the record for goals from corners in a single Premier League season after it took their tally to 17, surpassing the 16 total of their own 2023/24 sides, Oldham (1992/93), and West Brom.
As for Newcastle, they have now lost nine of their last 12 top-flight games, leaving boss Eddie Howe under fire.

Gibbs-White fuels Forest’s survival surge
- No player has scored more Premier League goals in 2026 than Morgan Gibbs-White (10, alongside Igor Thiago).
What a 10 days it’s been for Nottingham Forest who have conjured up a hat-trick of wins over Porto, Burnley, and Sunderland. A six game unbeaten run has put them five points above the relegation zone, backing up a 4-1 victory over Burnley with Friday’s stunning 5-0 win away to Sunderland.
Morgan Gibbs-White has scored four goals across those two league wins, meaning no player has netted more Premier League goals in 2026 than the midfielder (10, alongside Igor Thiago). His total tally of 13 league goals this term is the joint-most of any English player (level with Danny Welbeck).
Wilson haunts Everton again
- Callum Wilson has scored nine goals in his last eight league appearances against Everton.
Callum Wilson delivered a last-gasp winner for West Ham against Everton, sparking wild celebrations at the London Stadium as the Hammers claimed a crucial 2-1 victory. The result keeps the club two points above the relegation zone in 17th with four games remaining – and that winner could prove decisive if Nuno Espirito Santo’s side avoid the drop.
For Everton, it was another painful late defeat – coming on the heels of their 2-1 loss to Liverpool in injury time – and Wilson once again proved their tormentor with that his ninth goal in his last eight league appearances against the Toffees. Jarrod Bowen also played a key role, registering two assists to take his season tally to 10; second only to Bruno Fernandes (18) in the Premier League.

Spurs win a game
- Tottenham claimed their first Premier League win of 2026.
Wolves away was always going to be a must win for Tottenham, who left it late to claim their first Premier League victory in 2026, which finally ended their absolutely woeful 15 game winless run.
Substitute Joao Palhinha proved to be the difference, scoring in the 82nd minute to snatch a vital win for Roberto De Zerbi’s side: the club’s first since in the league 28th December 2025.

Isak back amongst the goals
- Alexander Isak scored his first Premier League goal at Anfield for Liverpool.
Liverpool ended a three-game losing run against Crystal Palace in the 2025-26 season, having previously been beaten by the Eagles in the Community Shield, Carabao Cup and Premier League.
Arne slot’s side came out 3-1 winners and it was Alexander Isak who broke the deadlock in the 35th minute as he scored his first Premier League goal at Anfield for Liverpool – and first goal of any kind since December. It’s been a tough injury-hit season for the £125m summer signing, but the goal should provide a timely boost as he looks to finish the season strongly ahead of the World Cup.

Ever-present Leno
- Bernd Leno has now started each of his last 146 Premier League matches for Fulham: the current longest active streak in the competition.
Fulham ended a six game losing streak in Premier League matches against Aston Villa after they sealed a 1-0 win at Craven Cottage thanks to a strike from Ryan Sessegnon.
Fulham keeper Bernd Leno marked his 146th consecutive Premier League start with a clean sheet. It’s the longest active streak in the competition and only five players have recorded longer runs in the Premier League era: Brad Friedel (310), Tim Howard (210), Pepe Reina (183), David James (166 and 158), and Kasper Schmeichel (149).
The result also ended Unai Emery’s perfect record against Fulham, having previously won all eight of his matches against the club.
Villa Emiliano Martinez may have been on the losing side but he did become only the third South American goalkeeper to reach 250 appearances for a single Premier League club after Ederson (372) and Alisson Becker (332).

The Spaniard has now claimed the most wins (45), most goals (159), and most clean sheets (28) in the FA Cup in that period.
