The Premier League returns this weekend for gameweek 23. Ten matches take place between Saturday 24 January and Monday 25 January. Arsenal take on Manchester United at 4:30pm on Sunday, with the pick of the fixtures. Below, you can find our predictions for each match.
West Ham vs Sunderland – Saturday 24 January – 12:30pm
The result looks a little tricky to predict here. Sunderland have been much better at home than on the road this season with just two wins away from the Stadium of Light. The Hammers haven’t kept a clean sheet in any of their 17 Premier League games under Nuno Espírito Santo, but did end their winless run with victory over Spurs last time out. West Ham have seen 64% of their home matches feature both teams scoring and at 5/6 it looks the wise play on Saturday.
Prediction: West Ham 1-1 Sunderland (6/1 with BOYLESports)
Burnley vs Tottenham – Saturday 24 January – 3:00pm
Tottenham have not been the easiest team to back this season; however, they face a Burnley side that is winless in 13 matches. With that in mind, we are surprised to see Spurs priced odds-against. The win against Tuesday on Wednesday showed the players are still fighting for Thomas Frank. Only Arsenal have picked up more points on the road this season and Spurs are very backable here.
Prediction: Burnley 1-2 Spurs (15/2 with BOYLESports)
Fulham vs Brighton – Saturday 24 January – 3:00pm
Brighton have won just one of their last nine Premier League games (D5 L3), beating Burnley 2-0 earlier this month. Fulham have lost just one of their last six league matches. The Cottagers have a strong home record this season and are worth taking a punt on at around 8/5 with most bookmakers.
Prediction: Fulham 2-1 Brighton (10/1 with BOYLESports)
Man City vs Wolves – Saturday 24 January – 3:00pm
After their defeat in the Arctic Circle to Bodo on Tuesday, Manchester City have now only won two of their last seven across all formats. However, a home game to Wolves provides a good opportunity to get back to winning ways. City are unbeaten in their last 30 Premier League games against sides starting the day bottom of the table (W24 D6). Wolves have been much improved of late and are unbeaten four league matches. They will prove stubborn to break down, and as a result, we see this as a relatively low-scoring win for City. The hosts are just 1/5 in the match result market and taking them to win and under 3.5 goals looks much more palatable at 11/8.
Prediction: Man City 2-0 Wolves (13/2 with BOYLESports)
Bournemouth vs Liverpool – Saturday 24 January – 5:30pm
Liverpool have won 13 of the last 16 meetings with Bournemouth and the Reds look good value here. Bournemouth are going through a tricky patch. Antonie Semenyo has left for Manchester City, Justin Kluivert, Tyler Adams and Marcus Tavernier are all out injured and they could face a tricky few weeks. Liverpool are unbeaten in their last ten in the league and at 10/11, they are worth getting behind on Saturday.
Prediction: Bournemouth 1-2 Liverpool (8/1 with BOYLESports)
Brentford vs Nottingham Forest – Sunday 25 January – 2:00pm
Only the current top three sides Arsenal (29) Man City (26) and Aston Villa (25) have earned more home points than Brentford in the Premier League this season (24). The Bees have lost just once at home all season (W7 D3) and are unbeaten in their last seven at the Gtech Community Stadium (W5 D2). Forest were in Europa League action on Thursday and have had significantly less time to prepare for this game than the hosts.
Prediction: Brentford 3-0 (14/1 with BOYLESports)
Crystal Palace vs Chelsea – Sunday 25 January – 2:00pm
The hosts are winless in their last 16 league games against Chelsea, drawing the last three after losing 13 in a row. Only Burnley (13) are on a longer winless run in the Premier League currently than Crystal Palace (7), with the Eagles drawing two and losing five of their last seven games. They last had a longer winless run between August and October 2024 (eight matches).
Prediction: Crystal Palace 1-3 Chelsea (12/1 with BOYLESports)
Newcastle vs Aston Villa – Sunday 25 January – 2:00pm
Newcastle United are unbeaten in their last eight home Premier League matches (W6 D2) and have started 2026 with consecutive victories at St James’ Park, beating Crystal Palace and Leeds. Villa, on the other hand, have failed to score in their last two. Emery’s men faced a tough Europa League trip to Turkey on Thursday and will have had significantly less time to prepare. Newcastle are unbeaten in their last 17 home league games against Aston Villa (W11 D6), winning the last four by an aggregate score of 13-1.
Prediction: Newcastle 2-0 Aston Villa (9/1 with BOYLESports)
Arsenal vs Man Utd – Sunday 25 January – 4:30pm
There has been a clear improvement at Manchester United since the departure of Ruben Amorim, but in Arsenal, they meet a different beast. The Gunners have only conceded 90 goals in 118 Premier League games with William Saliba on the pitch, an average of one every 115 minutes. Arteta’s men have kept clean sheets in both of their last two league games and have won nine of their 11 at home, drawing the other two.
Prediction: Arsenal 3-1 Man Utd (14/1 with BOYLESports)
Everton vs Leeds – Monday 26 January – 8:00pm
Since the start of November, Everton have kept more clean sheets than any other Premier League side (7). Despite this, the Toffees have faced the fifth-most shots (184) in the division in that time. Only Burnley (5) and Wolves (3) have fewer away Premier League points in the Premier League this season than Leeds United (6 – W1 D3 L7) and only Bournemouth (30) and Burnley (27) have conceded more goals than the Whites (24).
Prediction: Everton 2-0 Leeds (7/1 with BOYLESports)
