The first gameweek of the 2025-26 Premier League season is here!
It’s much too early to be talking of title races and relegation battles but an early win could make all the difference for some sides heading into what looks to be one of the most intriguing seasons in memory.
Liverpool enter as defending champions but they haven’t rested on their laurels; instead spending north of £300m on new talent as they aim to retain their crown.

There have been significant moves elsewhere too, with Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea and Man Utd all improving their squads ahead of the new season.
The big kick off is almost here and we’ve predicted the score for each of them.

Liverpool vs Bournemouth
- Friday 15th August, 8pm
- Liverpool vs Bournemouth prediction, stats, tips and team news
Liverpool head into the new season as Premier League champions and they’ll be keen to get the new campaign off to a winning start. There’s man new faces in the Liverpool squad and it’ll be interesting to see who is handed debuts and how the new players gel together. It’s been all change at Bournemouth too, particularly in defence, where they’ve been weakened significantly with several players leaving. We’re confident that Liverpool will have too much for their opponents and will be able to see off the Cherries.
Prediction: Liverpool 3-1 Bournemouth (9/1 with Midnite)
Aston Villa vs Newcastle
- Saturday 16th August, 12:30pm
- Aston Villa vs Newcastle prediction, stats, tips and team news
Aston Villa come into the new campaign knowing they’ll have to compete on multiple front after qualifying for the Europa League last season. With that increase in demand, comes an increase in pressure on the players. It’s been a long, hard summer for Newcastle. They’ve been embroiled in transfer speculation regarding several players, struggled to sign their targets and there is a dark cloud hanging over the North East heading into the new season. We think that has an impact on the Toon here and we’re backing Villa to start the season with all three points.
Prediction: Aston Villa 2-1 Newcastle (8/1 with Midnite)
Brighton vs Fulham
- Saturday 16th August, 3pm
- Brighton vs Fulham prediction, stats, tips and team news
There is a quiet optimism building on the South Coast, with many predicting Brighton could be the side to break into the top six and find themselves playing European football once more. There is a long way to go though and this will be the first litmus test for the Seagulls. It’s been a quiet summer for Fulham, and that’s created some whispers that the Cottagers could struggle this season. This isn’t the ideal start for them and we’re predicting that home advantage edges Brighton ahead in this contest.
Prediction: Brighton 2-1 Fulham (15/2 with Midnite)
Sunderland vs West Ham
- Saturday 16th August, 3pm
- Sunderland vs West Ham prediction, stats, tips and team news
There weren’t many that would’ve predicted Sunderland would be playing in the Premier League this season, even when they made the Championship playoffs in the last term. But here we are, the Black Cats are back in the top league and they’ll want to make it count. West Ham struggled last season and they’ll want to atone for that this time around. It could be tricky though, with the Hammers relying on Jarrod Bowen to once again be their saviour. We can’t separate these two sides on the opening weekend and we’re backing a draw.
Prediction: Sunderland 1-1 West Ham (11/2 with Midnite)
Tottenham vs Burnley
- Saturday 16th August, 3pm
- Tottenham vs Burnley prediction, stats, tips and team news
Tottenham ended the season on a high, picking up the Europa League and ensuring they’d be playing Champions League football this season. They’ve complemented that by signing some good players in key positions and it could be an interesting year for Spurs. Burnley make their return to the Premier League after narrowly missing out on the Championship title last season. They’ll be hoping to get off to the perfect start but we’re backing Spurs to come out on top in an entertaining affair.
Prediction: Tottenham 3-1 Burnley (10/1 with Midnite)
Wolves vs Man City
- Saturday 16th August, 5:30pm
- Wolves vs Man City prediction, stats, tips and team news
Wolves have gone quietly about their business this summer but there’s a sense that they could struggle this season. Many pundits are predicting they could find themselves in the bottom three and things don’t start easily for them with a visit from Man City. The Citizens will be looking to bounce back after a trophyless season but they’ll have to do it without Kevin De Bruyne, who left the club this summer. We think they’ll get off to the perfect start though, picking up a comprehensive victory.
Prediction: Wolves 0-2 Man City (7/1 with Midnite)
Chelsea vs Crystal Palace
- Sunday 17th August, 2pm
- Chelsea vs Crystal Palace prediction, stats, tips and team news
Chelsea have, once again, opened their chequebook this summer bringing a host of new names to the club. The addition of Joao Pedro looks to be a key one with the forward hitting the ground running since his arrival at Stamford Bridge. Crystal Palace will be riding high following their Wembley exploits, where they won both the FA Cup and the Community Shield, but we think they’ll come crashing back down to Earth when Chelsea beat them this weekend.
Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Crystal Palace (15/2 with Midnite)
Nottm Forest vs Brentford
- Sunday 17th August, 2pm
- Nottm Forest vs Brentford prediction, stats, tips and team news
Nottingham Forest enjoyed their most successful campaign in recent memory last season, qualifying for the Europa League and bringing European football back to the City Ground. This season could be more tricky for them though as they try and navigate multiple competitions. Brentford have had a turbulent summer, with Bryan Mbeumo leaving the club and Yoane Wissa looking to follow suit. It could be a long season for the Bees and it starts here as we’re predicting a slender victory for Nottingham Forest
Prediction: Nottm Forest 1-0 Brentford (7/1 with Midnite)
Man Utd vs Arsenal
- Sunday 17th August, 4:30pm
- Man Utd vs Arsenal prediction, stats, tips and team news
After a very disappointing campaign last season, Man Utd have wasted no time in ringing the changes, including completely replacing their frontline. It remains to be seen if these changes will have the desired effect and they face a stern test on the opening weekend. Arsenal have brought in reinforcements of their own this summer as they try and break their second-place hoodoo. We think they get off the perfect start, picking up a narrow but vital win at Old Trafford.
Prediction: Man Utd 1-2 Arsenal (15/2 with Midnite)
Leeds vs Everton
- Monday 18th August, 8pm
- Leeds vs Everton prediction, stats, tips and team news
Leeds are back in the Premier League after being crowned Championship winners following an impressive campaign. Many are predicting they will struggle this season and they’ll be keen to allay those fears as quickly as possible as they look to settle in the Premier League. Everton will have to wait another week to unveil their new Hill Dickinson Stadium and will have to settle for a tough trip to Elland Road on the opening weekend. We think this game is too close to call though and the spoils will be shared.
Prediction: Leeds 0-0 Everton (9/1 with Midnite)
